Next up on our reviews of the LEGO Marvel Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets is Spidey vs. Green Goblin (10793). This 4+ set has 84 pieces and retails for $19.99.
Minifigures
For a small set, there are actually three minifigures in the set, Spidey, Ghost Spider, and Green Goblin. Spidey has on the red and blue outfit and has the metallic gold detailing on the torso and the eyes as shown in the series.
Ghost Spider has on her purple and white outfit with the metallic gold symbols on both sides of the torso. Her arms do use the Man-Bat arms with the wings and as a result, they’re stuck in a wider position whether they are raised or lowered.
Lastly we have the Green Goblin who looks to be a reused minifigure from last year. He still has the purple outfit with the green arms and head which shows him with an evil smile on one side and a scared look on the other. His accessory is the little Trace-E robot.
Build
There are three things for the build, the dock, the hover spinner, and the glider. The dock fits on a 6×8 plate and it has a barrel, a box, and a spot to hold the life preserver and a flag.
The hover spinner uses some new and rarer pieces such as the rubber wheel which was only found in LEGO Education Spike sets and the dish which is brand new. The red cockpit is also newly made for this set and it can fit one minifigure inside. There’s a printed windshield with the Spider logo and there are some glow in the dark flowers which I assume acts as web sprayers. The propeller on the back is not new but was originally used for Ninjago sets.
Green Goblin’s glider is a simple looking one and it has some hinged wings along with some flick-fire pumpkin bombs.
Results
Overall the LEGO Marvel Spidey vs. Green Goblin (10793) isn’t a bad set but it’s not terrible either. The price point is actually decent for what you get which includes the new minifigures as well as some new parts in new colors, some of which are larger parts. It is a 4+ set so younger kids may feel they are building a lot since there are mulitiple builds.
Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
