There’s a couple of new LEGO Marvel sets that are coming in April, one of which is The Hulk Truck vs. Thanos (76312). The set has 229 pieces and will retail for $34.99.
Minifigures
There are two minifigures in this set, Hulk and Thanos. The Hulk is back in his minifigure form and this is the dark version of him. It’s actually not a new minifigure as he is also in the Iron Man with Bike and The Hulk (76287). He also comes with a yellow racing helmet when he’s driving the truck.
Thanos looks to be a new minifigure with updated printing. The torso uses even more pearl-gold printing for even more detailing on both sides. LEGO did skimp back and just used regular dark blue legs with no printing. He does also use the shoulder armor piece to complete his look. His accessories include the Infinity Gauntlet and the Tesseract.
Build
The only part of the build is the monster truck. It does have the Hulk color scheme with the lime green for most of the truck and purple for the rims. The hood does use a sticker for Hulk’s angry expression while the sides have his signature phrase “Hulk Smash!”
The more interesting part of the truck is the working suspension system for both sets of wheels. They use a simple Technic system to create the rocking suspension. The wheels are connected to the middle axle so you don’t have any independent shock absorbing wheels.
Results
As we know by now, LEGO likes to make super hero sets that involves vehicles and the LEGO Marvel The Hulk Truck vs. Thanos (76312) is just one more set to the tiring lineup. This set sort of makes sense with Thanos being a stronger villain. The truck itself isn’t a bad build and the shock absorbing wheels are decent and they work well. The whole set may be fun for kids but collectors know that’s it’s just an overpriced set.
