There’s some new information coming out of Eurobricks from CM4Sci regarding the upcoming 2016 LEGO Nexo Knights theme. He has given some descriptions for the sets in the initial wave. I won’t be copying every single thing that was mentioned in the post but I will highlight some stuff that may be of interest. Of course, there are no official images at this time.
Since Nexo Knights is the next big LEGO IP theme, which will be replacing Legends of Chima, there will be a ton of stuff surrounding the theme including a TV show, books, and games/apps, etc. Again, I’ve only sort of summarized the set descriptions because I didn’t want to copy the whole post so if you want to read up on it, head over Eurobricks.
The main colors for Nexo Knights are blue and gray with a lot of trans-neon reddish-orange (TNRO) similar to the ones found in the Ice Planet 2002 sets. To clarify more about about the steampunk aspect that was reported before, CM4Sci has stated there is no steampunk whatsoever.
Update: I’ve removed the drawings because they hang a fine line of actual preliminary images.
Knighton Disc Launchers (70310) – Small vehicle-type thing with two wheels similar to the LEGO SpongeBob SquarePants Rocket Ride (3831) and two disc shooters. The knight has gray and blue armor and wears a weird helmet. The villain is all red with a black mohawk.
Chaos Catapult (70311) – The catapult is dark brown and black with some stuff on the side. Minifigures include a knight and presumably a villain.
Lance’s Robo Horse (70312) – This one is too complicated to explain so I’ll just copy what CM4Sci said:
Really weird design. Rather skinny, those plain angled Technic things in blue are literally the limbs. Odd red wheel hanging from the chest in the middle. Plain white figure with grey armor on the back (presumably all prelim) Flick fire! All I can really make out.
Moltor’s Lava Launcher (70313) – “Giant black blob with NERO rock pieces.” May also include a small escape pod of some sort. Includes a green/gray knight and black/red minifigure with dark red Chima fists.
“The chaotic chariot of Beast Master” (70314) – Giant monster podracer which can open and close. Top half is a normal cockpit piece with yellow eyes and the other half of the pod are teeth. Cockpit area is dark red with fire and the catapult has a “Beast Master” who is red in color as well. There are TNRO chains that connect the pods to the piloting area. There’s also a small Nexo Knight aircraft in blue and gray that could be a dragon.
Clay’s Blade Cruiser (70315) – Again the details are all over the place so I’ll just copy it:
Err. Hm. I think LEGO’s made a similar shaped set before. It’s.. got a giant blade piece we’ve seen before in grey going down the middle, on it is the classic castle sword, the chrome one. Mars Mission wheels in grey. Two robo-knights (pretty simple build, I can remake if anyone wants) on each side. In the driver’s area is a new windshield, it looks really cool, like a V (which I can also draw if someone wants) More TNRO! Looks like not only TNRO, but normal trans orange. On the sides of the driver are dark blue fin pieces. Spring shooter (with nothing on top, looks really.. plain) in the back. Minifigures include Clay, two Robo Knights, a bag guy, and a small red creature. Bad guy is black and red, Shredder shoulderpads and what looks like the old Castle helmet (think Evil Knight from CMF) but with the tooth pieces in orange on the side.
Jestro’s Companions of Darkness (70316) – Looks like a big steamroller with an evil jester face on the front and a tower in the back. The wheels are trans-orange with the colors of the vehicles being black and red. The jester head has lots of teeth and the hat is made of the spider legs from Garmadon’s Dark Fortress (2505) with spheres on the ends to represent bells. There’s also a couple of catapults. On top of the tower is the Jestro minifigure with a flag with spikes. On the Nexo Knight side, there’s a small robo dragon with the blue, gray, and trans-orange colors. It wields a lance.
“Giant Moving Castle” (70317) – Pretty much what you imagine it to be. It’s a giant castle on tank treads, similar to what CM4Sci has drawn below. Again, too many small and random details to list.
Giant blue castle on tank treads. No joke. Lots of TNRO, grey, blue. dark blue doors (Jestro set) and a new sort of flat shield brick/piece thing is all around. There are 4 tank treads, two flat ones in the back, and two that slope upwards in the front (don’t really know how to describe_ In the middle is a giant drawbridge that a flyer can zoom out of. Behind it is a giant TNRO banner with a doodle of a wizard on it, probably preliminary. More TNRO chains. Two tall towers in the front, both have the giant six stud shooters. Giant TNRO banners on the top. The back it just blue walls, some shooters, and there’s an undead robot chef that uses the Ninjago skeleton parts with a possibly shorter torso? The baddies have a neat dark red, firey monster flyer that shoots dics. Minifigures are Blue Nexo, Green Nexo (both have an interesting visor I can doodle on request) a really really prelim sort of big-fig (minifigure legs, new mold upper half, big) with an axe that uses the same blades as the ones in Knighton Disc, the wizard banner is shown as a minifigure, two fire creatures, and flyer bad guy.
