In some sad news today, LEGO Ninjago voice actor, Kirby Morrow, has passed away at the age of 47. Fans of the show will best know him as the voice of Cole but he is also known for voices for many other animated shows like Cyclops from X-Men Evolution and Miroku in the InuYasha English dub. In addition to other LEGO projects, he also did voices for LEGO Star Wars: Droid Tales and LEGO Jurassic World: Legend of Isla Nublar.
LEGO Ninjago co-creator Tommy Andreasen has shared some thoughts about Kirby.
There is no good way to do this …
I am unbelievably saddened to have just received the news that my friend Kirby Morrow has passed away.
When he first auditioned for the role of Cole on Ninjago, he was our first and only pick to portray the rock of the Ninjago Team. pic.twitter.com/AqR4swEGaX— Tommy Andreasen (@TommyAndreasen) November 19, 2020
My mind is going all over the place right now.
I am desperately fighting off the shock by reminding myself of all the joy Kirby brought so many over the years. Here’s the very first time he portrayed Cole (Ren at the time) for his audition on March 21th 2010.
RIP Kirby. pic.twitter.com/pvzeLUQNeT— Tommy Andreasen (@TommyAndreasen) November 19, 2020
