LEGO has officially announced the next LEGO Star Wars May the 4th exclusive with R2-D2 (75308). Releasing on May 1, the set has 2,314 pieces and will retail for $199.99. Included with the set is a R2-D2 minifigure and a special Lucasfilm 50th anniversary LEGO brick. This R2-D2 is an updated version of 10225 from 2012 which has a couple more features than its predecessor.

Adult LEGO builders and Star Wars fans alike can recreate their favourite moments from the films as they craft R2-D2’s unique retractable mid-leg, rotating head and a periscope. The model also has hidden tools tucked away, such as a lightsaber hilt hidden in a secret compartment in the head.
