Way back in April, LEGO announced a new partnership with Universal Music Group for new products coming out next year. There are now rumors that the theme will be called LEGO Vidiyo and these sets will be centered around creating music videos.
These sets will feature cube style boxes with music-type minifigures or minidolls. The sets will have printed 2×2 album cover tiles that can be scanned using your phone to reveal a whole interactive experience such as playing music, adding visual effects, and creating music videos.
The LEGO Vidiyo sets are reported to be released in March and the sets are priced at €19.99 with an accessory set priced at €4.99.
This new theme sounds pretty interesting and I’m intrigued to see how they all turn out. As always, these are purely rumors until LEGO announces them or images show up at an online shop.
