For some day 2 news from the 2015 New York Toy Fair, there were 13 different Toy Fair awards announced this morning and LEGO has won three of them. Thanks to Chad for sending us the news and you can check out the video below.
First is the Preschool Toy of the Year going to the LEGO Juniors Knights’ Castle (10676). This set was recognized for an outstanding toy developed for pre-schoolers ages 3-5.
The e-Connected Toy of the Year went to the LEGO Fusion Town Master (21204). This award was for an app-cessory or physical toy that interacts with a smartphone, tablet, or gaming device.
Finally for the Educational Toy of the Year, the LEGO TECHNIC Cargo Plane (42025) snagged that one. This award was for a toy that helps children develop special skills and knowledge through play. I believe any LEGO set could have won this award since they all fit the requirements.
