Philly Brick Fest, the 4-day Fan of LEGO Convention returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center April 20th – April 23rd, 2016 in Oaks, PA.

2017 marks the 4th year for Philly Brick Fest. Once again the event will be held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center and will occupy 140,000 square feet of space, making it the largest fan-created LEGO event in North America.

LEGO builders from around the globe are invited to showcase their fan-built creations, learn building techniques from one another, interact with other fans, participate in building challenges and activities, and most of all enjoy a fun-filled weekend with like-minded LEGO Maniacs!

“In 2017 we are doing something different” said Chad Collins, founder of Learn With Bricks Inc., the production company behind Philly Brick Fest and the largest touring LEGO event in America, Brick Fest Live.

The LEGO Batman Movie Disco Batman/Tears of Batman (30607) Polybag Found

I’ve held off reporting on this a few days ago but it seems that other sites are also reporting on it as well. A Macau toy store called Digibee has posted an image of a new The LEGO Batman Movie polybag called Disco Batman/Tears of Batman (30607). The polybag includes two new variants of Batman in some very eccentric outfits. There’s no mentioning of the distribution of the polybag but I’ve seen rumors on Instagram that the polybag will be given out at theaters, similar to what they did with The LEGO Movie polybags.

The polybag joins a number of other polybags that will be released in conjunction with the movie including Batman in the Phantom Zone (30522), The Joker Battle Training (30523), and Mini Batwing (30524). Again, no word on the distribution of those except for the Mini Batwing when you can get it for free with purchases of $35 or more starting on December 27.

The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures (71017)

A few weeks ago, LEGO officially announced that they will be coming out with Collectible Minifigures (71017) for The LEGO Batman Movie. LEGO was kind enough to send in a full box for us to review so let’s check out the minifigures in detail. There will be 20 total to collect and they will be available starting on January 1 for $3.99 each although I’m hearing that other parts of the world have price increases for them.

LEGO Seasonal Gingerbread Man (5005156) Promotion Now Live

LEGO Seasonal Gingerbread Man (5005156)

The LEGO promotional period for the LEGO Seasonal Gingerbread Man (5005156) is now live on Shop@Home. You can get for free with purchases of $50 or more from December 12-18, while supplies last. I’ve seen images of this Gingerbread Man side-by-side next to the original one from the Series 11 Collectible Minifigures (71002) and this new one is actually a little darker than the previous one however it does not come with the red “Dunk Me” cup.
