LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Mr. Freeze (30603) Rumored as April 2016 Promo

There has been some worry on whether or not we’ll be getting the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batman Classic TV Series – Mr. Freeze (30603) minifigure polybag which was first seen last week at the New York Toy Fair. As of this time, it was only given out to special attendees to the event and some people were speculating that it was only exclusive to that event.

I’ve just received an anonymous email from someone who states they work at a LEGO Store saying that it’ll be widely available as a LEGO promotion in April with purchases of a certain threshold. I went around to check to confirm this and surely enough, Just2Good over on Eurobricks has also stated this and he also added with a purchase of $75.

Until the April 2016 Store Calendar is available, we won’t know for sure but keep in mind that J2G usually doesn’t let us down with his reports. We’ll know for sure if we’ll actually be getting the classic Mr. Freeze polybag when the calendar is released in a few weeks.

Update: It has been confirmed on the April 2016 Store Calendar that it will be part of a promotion.

BrickLink New Storefront Preview

BrickLink has given an update on some of the changes coming to the popular third-party LEGO service. The main thing is the new Storefront look that every store will get. I’ll sort of summarize what these changes are but you want a more detailed explanation, head on over to the link above.

First off the stores will have a more streamlined layout and the focus will be on the content of the store. You can change the color and logo to match your liking.

Next is the store curated landing page which lets sellers customize what buyers will see when they arrive to the page.

The new Splash Page will not its own page but will act as an actual splash page when buyers arrive.

The categories have also been overhauled with hierarchy levels within the categories. For example, the different LEGO themes have been broken down to sub-themes so you can easily see what’s available. You can also collapse and expand the categories so you can focus on what’s most relevant to you.

One of the main complaints of the old BrickLink was the search experience. Now there are advanced search filters that are dynamic which makes it a lot more easier to find what you’re looking for.

The Store Terms are now labeled on the right side of the page with an Average Lot Value and a Minimum Buy.

Right below the menu bar is a new Store Announcement bar that lets buyer know what annnouncements you have. So if you’re closing your store … Continue

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Trailer

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures

A week ago at the New York Toy Fair, we finally got some details of the new LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures and today there’s a trailer online for the new TV series. There’s also a description of what the show is about including the names of the Freemakers: Kordi, Zander, and Rowan who are searching for the Kyber Crystals. Check out the trailer below. Thanks to Miguel for the email.

Long ago, a Jedi Master forged the Kyber Saber, a lighsaber made of Kyber Crystals. It proved to be too powerful, so the Jedi Master shattered it, and scattered the crystals throughout the galaxy, to keep the power out of evil’s hands. Meet Kordi, Zander, and Rowan, three sibling scavengers who, with the help of Roger and Naare, are on a quest across the galaxy, to retrieve the Kyber Crystals before the Emperor does.

LEGO Clockwork Heart Instructions by JK Brickworks

If you were on social media this past Valentine’s Day, you may have seen the image above of the Clockwork Heart by LEGO builder Jason Allemann, aka JK Brickworks. If you want to make your own, he has posted the instructions as well as the parts list for everyone to enjoy.

Jason has been prolific in building models that are very impressive, to say the least, with many of which can be motorized to make it even more impressive. If Jason sounds familiar, that’s because his Labyrinth Marble Maze was chosen to be the next LEGO Ideas set which was teased by LEGO just yesterday. Check out his website to see more of his MOCs.
