LEGO has released the designer video for the LEGO Ideas The Orient Express Train (21344) which is set to be available starting on December 1. LEGO Designer Ollie Gregory and LEGO Fan Designer Thomas Lajon along with Heritage and Culture Director Arthur Mettetal talks about the history of the train and the details that went into the set. Some of the main differences from the original project to this set is that LEGO wanted to scale it down to fit the LEGO train system along with adding minifigures to tell stories with play.

Rainforest Frogs by Mario Vela is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build consists of six different frogs from Costa Rica which include the Red Eye Frog, Sylvyas Leaf Frog, Golden Poison Dart Frog, Blue Jeans Frog, Blue Dart Frog, and Masked Tree Frog.

The project joins Modular Heritage Museum, Great Temple of Abu Simbel – With Secret Treasure, Rolls-Royce Phantom 1 “Phantom of Love”, Moon Palace, NASA’s SLS Block 1 & 1B Rockets – Artemis Missions, LEGO Anatomy, WTC Twin Towers & Vista International Hotel 1979, Coraline: The Pink Palace, Good Ogel’s Garden, Happier Than Ever, City Burger, Phineas and Ferb!, JWST, Harry Styles Love on Tour 2023, LEGO Microscope, Sequoia Tree, Tesla Center, Working Canal Lock, Christmas Theater, Wreck-It Ralph 10th Anniversary, and Stray Kids “Oddinary Maniac” as the ones to reach the Third 2023 Review Stage.

The release of the LEGO Ideas The Orient Express Train (21344) is just around the corner but there is a sticker issue with the set in case you are building it right after release date. There are two sticker sheets in the set and one of them has incorrect coloring it. As shown below on the left, stickers 9, 10, and 14 are supposed to have a metallic silver finish to them but there will be some sets that have stickers with a flat flame-orange coloring.

LEGO has already caught the error and has already provided the new stickers in future production runs. If you do get the wrong sticker sheet, LEGO suggests contacting Customer Service to get the replacement stickers. Below is the official statement that LEGO has provided about the issue.

We identified a color error in the sticker sheet for LEGO set 21344 and we have already implemented the change for future production runs. In the meantime, the parts warehouse has stock of the correct sticker sheets and we will provide replacement stickers upon request.
