LEGO The Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures (71009) Feel Guide

LEGO The Simpsons Minifigures Series 2 (71009)

Now that the LEGO The Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures (71009) have been officially revealed, it’s time to do our best to help you guys figure out which minifigures are in each packet with this handy feel guide. Although this wave of LEGO The Simpsons Minifigures has lots of new characters for you to find, they seem to be a little harder to feel than the first series given the assortment of parts that are available with the characters.

The LEGO The Simpsons Series 2 Minifigures (71009) will be available on May 1st but as usual, some retailers like Toys R Us, Walgreens, Walmart, and Target will probably be selling them mid-to-late April.

1. Homer

You would think that the 2×2 tile would be an easy giveaway to finding Homer but think again since there are five other characters that have a similar part. His round head is the thing you should be feeling for while confirming with the tile piece.

2. Marge

Marge should be fairly easy to find with her long, distinct head/hair piece.

3. Lisa

Lisa’s cat, Snowball II, would be the easiest thing to feel for since her head piece is really similar to Maggie’s.

4. Maggie

Maggie’s head is almost identical to Lisa’s so you should be feeling for Santa’s Little Helper. Her body is also a good indicator because it is just one piece that is uniquely shaped.

5. Bartman

Bartman is really easy to find with his spiky head piece. The slingshot is also helpful.

6. Fallout Boy

LEGO Jurassic World Video Game Gameplay Details

LEGO Jurassic World Video Game

It’s been LEGO Jurassic World Video Gameicon centric here at The Brick Fan the past two days or so. There are now some gameplay details of it courtesy of Game Informer as they already got their hands on a demo version.

One of the details of LEGO Jurassic World is that there are over 100 playable characters. You get your main cast members from the first movie such as Alan Grant who can build objects from the environment, Ian Malcolm who can toss flares, Ellie Sttler who finds clues by jumping into dinosaur dropping, and Lex who can break glass. The most interesting character to note from GI is that Mr. DNA is also playable. What are his abilities? I don’t know but I sure hope that Greg Burson’s voiceover will be used.

As from the game description we have, you can customize your dinosaur collection by collecting LEGO amber to create new ones. It was noted that there are over 1,000 combinations that you can create, not including color and skin variations.

Some may wonder if LEGO Jurassic World will be as violent as in the movies. TT Games has proven that they can put a humorous twist to what are supposed to be violent scenes. One example is from the trailer the Muldoon scene where he is being hunted. The raptor pops up with fruit on its head. Another scene that has a playful feel to it is during the famous T-Rex scene when the power went out at the park and it causes … Continue

LEGO Toys-to-Life Game Rumored for Later This Year

IGN is reporting of a rumor that LEGO will be working with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Traveller’s Tales to release a toys-to-life game later this year. What does that mean? Think of Activision’s Skylanders, the Disney Infinity toys, and the Nintendo amiibo where you have physical toys that are projected to gameplay.

Last year, LEGO jumped to the digital world with the LEGO Fusionicon sets that combine bricks and apps that interact with the builds. Furthermore, the LEGO Ultra Agentsicon sets have the AppBricks that let you interact more with the apps. It looks like LEGO will be taking their quest to further leverage digitalization with the rumored toys-to-life game for later 2015.
