Two LEGO Jurassic World 2024 Sets Revealed

JB Spielwaren has revealed two new LEGO Jurassic World 2024 sets with the Baby Dinosaur Rescue Center (76963) and Dinosaur Fossils: T.rex Skull (76964). The Rescue Center is a 4+ set and has 139 pieces while the T.rex Skull has 577 pieces and is the more interesting one for me. If they’re doing these dinosaur fossil sets, I can see LEGO doing a while line full of different dinosaurs. Both sets should be available in January.

LEGO has officially announced the next set in the Modular Buildings Collection with the LEGO Icons Natural History Museum (10326). Unlike previous years where it releases in January, it will actually be available starting on December 1 and you can pre-order it today. It retails for $299.99 and has 4,014 pieces which is the most pieces used for a building in the history of the theme.

The museum features two floors of science exhibits including a brick-built Brachiosaurus skeleton that stretches into the second floor. Other dinosaur exhibits has a sabretooth skull, a fossil, and dinosaur eggs. There’s also a geology and space exhibits as well.

In one of the lifestyle images provided by LEGO, there’s a random blue food truck next to the set which could suggest that it could be a future gift with purchase item. LEGO has not responded to questions on what it is yet at this time but don’t be surprised if it drops in the near future.

LEGO Design Seminar 2023 Cosmic Daydreams (DS2023) Includes Purple Classic Space Astronaut Minifigure

A few days ago, LEGO held their 2023 Design Seminar and there was an exclusive LEGO Classic Space set given out as gifts with the Cosmic Daydreams (DS2023). The seminar was a space themed so not surprising that the give was also space related. What’s most interesting about the 148 piece set is that it includes a purple Classic Space astronaut minifigure. The description of the set reads:

Everyone has their role to play in space – Pilots, Scientists, Engineers, even Mech-Operators. But the purple Spaceman, that one’s the Dreamer. Dreamers imagine the impossible and bring their wildest thoughts to life! They inspire us to look up, ask the big questions, and build a better universe for everyone!

It even displays the huge NOT FOR RESALE sign that LEGO puts on various items so it’ll be pretty hard to get this set. For those who collect the astronaut minifigures in various colors, you can still get the various pieces on Pick-a-Brick and the torso can be found with the Space Creature from the Series 22 Collectible Minifigures (71032) but it does have some arm printing so it’s not a totally a pure purple torso. Unless a LEGO designer decides to move on from LEGO, we probably won’t be seeing this set hit the secondary market anytime soon. Hopefully LEGO will include the purple astronaut in a future set.
