LEGO Jurassic World 2015 Set Infographic

Jurassic Bricks has found a neat little infographic detailing the upcoming wave of LEGO Jurassic World sets that is set to be released in May/June. The image comes from an unofficial Jurassic World Facebook Page and it shows silhouettes of the dinosaurs and minifigures as well as building and vehicles for each set.

We first learned of some details of the sets when CapnRex101 did his report last week from the London Toy Fair. From this image, we now know the other names of the raptors in set 75920 as Delta and Echo. I saw on another image that one of the raptors is named Alpha so we’ll see which one it is later. Most of the other stuff we already had some details of from London. Obviously, there are some little things that are left off the image but for the most part, everything seems to match up.

Dilophosaurus Ambush (75916) – £29.99 – Includes a new mold of the Dilophosaurus and also has 2 minifigures.

Raptor Rampage (75917) – £49.99 – Only set to have Chris Pratt’s character (Owen) which is very strange considering he is the main character. He rides a motorcycle and set also has two different colored Velociraptors named Blue and Charlie. The set also has a blue and white truck and 2 other minifigures.

LEGO Ultra Agents App Brick Trailer

For those who are wondering what the new App Bricks in the upcoming LEGO Ultra Agents are about, LEGO has released a short video detailing their features. Each of the five sets in the wave will have a couple of App Bricks included which will let you create gadgets to use with the free app. The app also has more comics and games that continue the Ultra Agents storyline and the built App Brick Gadgets are used to find clues within the games. The app also has alternate builds that you can create with the sets. The app is recommended for tablet devices so if you’re just using a cell phone, it might not be as optimal. Check out the video below to see the App Bricks in action. The next wave of LEGO Ultra Agents sets will be released on March 1st.

LEGO Jurassic World and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Video Games Announced

If the announcement of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (76042) wasn’t enough, Warner Bros. also has an announcement today. TT Games will be releasing more LEGO games in 2015 including LEGO Jurassic World and LEGO Marvel’s Avengers as well as some handlheld and mobile titles which includes LEGO Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin which we already talked about.

We first saw a sneak peek at the LEGO Jurassic World game when a T-Rex and the theme song showed up at the credits of LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham but it seems that WB and TT Games already had something in mind. The game will consist of the first three Jurassic Park movies as well as the upcoming Jurassic World movie and it will be released in June.

The LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game will feature the characters and storylines from the Avengers movie as well as the Avengers: Age of Ultron and more. It is slated to be released in Fall 2015.

A few hours ago, we revealed some images of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (76042) and now LEGO has officially announced the set. We now get to see the whole set in its glory. The Helicarrier consists of 2,996 pieces and will retail for $349.99. It will include 5 minifigures: Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Maria Hill, as well as 12 microfigures. As we mentioned before, it’ll be available for early access for LEGO VIP members from February 17-28 and to the general public on March 1. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS Avengers Helicarrier (76042) Image Revealed

After very much anticipation and tons of comments and emails from everyone, we finally have an image of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS Avengers Helicarrier (76042) that we can show off. The image of the Helicarrier is shown on the March 2015 LEGO Store Calendar. The Ultimate Collectors Series set will be available to the public on March 1st but it be available for early access to LEGO VIP members from February 17-28 with a retail price of $349.99. We’ll have a clearer image of it once LEGO officially reveals it in a few hours with the designer video which was teased back in November. Although it doesn’t show, the set will come with 5 minifigures and 12 microfigures. You can see one of the microfigures with Iron Man flying next to the ship. Thanks to everyone who emailed in.

Update: The Wall Street Journal has given some details of the set. There are 2,996 pieces and includes Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, and Maria Hill. Alas, still no Agent Coulson. More clearer images will be available later.

Super Bowl XLIX Commercials Recreated in LEGO in the Brick Bowl

The NFL Super Bowl XLIX will be happening this Sunday and will vie to be the most watched sporting events on television. Throughout the game, advertisers will be showcasing their $4.5 million commercials which last for about 30 seconds and they hope it will stay in the minds of millions of viewers. So what does this have to do with LEGO?

UK-based animation studio A+C Studios is planning on recreating all of the commercials that will be shown during the Super Bowl in LEGO form with 36 hours in the Brick Bowl. Once half time of the Super Bowl begins, the team will watch the ads at their 5,000 square foot studio and start creating the storyboards for the commercials. Soon after, they will start start building and animating the recreated ads. After their 36 hours are up, they will broadcast the animated movie. A+C Studios will be documenting their whole process so follow their social media sites to keep up with what they are doing.

I, for one, can’t wait to see the real commercials as they are pretty entertaining but to see them in LEGO is something else. As for the game itself, I hope the Seattle Seahawks win again this year.

HBO Asia The LEGO Movie Red Envelopes

To kick off the Lunar New Year overseas, HBO Asia will be premiering The LEGO Movie on February 19 and if you’re subscribed to the channel, you can pick up yourself a packet of these snazzy The LEGO Movie red envelopes. These envelopes feature all the main characters of the movie but is missing Wyldstyle for some reason. Geek Culture notes that you can get one of these packets at any Starhub locations but you may want to verify first. As someone who will be celebrating the Lunar New Year next month, I wish I could get my hands on something like this but I probably won’t be able to. Thanks to Deborah for emailing this in.
