LEGO has confirmed through email that there will be a Double Insider Points shopping event October 15-20 on the LEGO Shop and in stores. During the few days, you can earn double points on all your purchases especially all the new sets that have been released since mid-June which was the last one that we had. The LEGO Bakery (40696) promo will probably start around that time as well.
Earlier this year, LEGO released the Micro Ninjago City sets in the Insiders Rewards Center and it doesn’t look like they are selling well because they have all been discounted. Originally, each set required between 2,300-2,700 Insiders points but they all now require 1,800 points to redeem. Obviously it’s a bummer for those who spent an extra 500-900 points to get them when they first came out but who knew that LEGO would discount them later on.
The LEGO Shop has revealed the last microscale shop gift with purchase set with the Bakery (40696). It has 376 pieces and will require a $200 purchase to get it. The set features the same microscale detailing as in the previous three sets in the wave with the open back. There’s no word yet on when it will be available yet.
Indulge creative appetites at the LEGO® Bakery (40696), a building kit that’s packed with details. The fourth and final collectible toy in a series of model LEGO stores, it’s a sweet project for teen and adult builders aged 12 and up. Budding bakers will love admiring the exterior, which is decorated for the holidays, before exploring the cozy details inside. They’ll delight in discovering 2 floors brimming with bakery accessories and sweet elements, including colorful cakes!
