The number of new Islands in LEGO Fortnite continue to grow as there are two more added called Chasers vs Hunters and Monster Fishing. In addition there’s also a new Scary Space template and gallery update that teaches creators how to create a jump scare using Verse Code.

THE LEGO® GROUP INTRODUCES EVEN MORE NEW ISLAND OFFERINGS IN FORTNITE: CHASERS VS HUNTERS & MONSTER FISHING

Two action packed LEGO Islands, found within Fortnite, offer new mysterious adventures and challenges for players, just in time for Halloween!

Expanding on its range of action-packed games, the LEGO Group has launched even more exciting LEGO Islands within Fortnite, where players will have to navigate through various obstacles and challenges to solve one big mystery.

Players are divided into teams in the all-new LEGO Chasers Vs Hunters to take control of the dream world from the LEGO DREAMZzz™ universe.

Teams will be split into Dream Chasers and Nightmare Hunters, with both being given LEGO weapons to shoot their opponents and convert targets to gain dream sand. Each player can use the dream sand to dream craft even bigger and better weapons to help their team take control of the dream world.

Look out for a mysterious flying object from above, as players will have the added challenge of shooting this down from the sky. This dark and creepy creature haunts the LEGO Islands and is curious about LEGO minifigures. Players will be in a race to solve the puzzles in front of them and obtain the codes required to unlock

LEGO Announces Live Set Reveal on October 22

LEGO has announced that there will be a live set reveal on October 22 at 12pm ET. During the reveal, there will be a Q&A session with the set designers. In addition, there will be a sweepstakes for a chance to win a signed copy of the set or a $100 e-gift card. There is also an opportunity to redeem 50 points for a customized minifigure, while supplies last. My guess for the reveal is the LEGO Ideas The Botanical Garden (21353) since it was teased a few days ago.

LEGO Double Points Event & Bakery/Polybag Bundle Promotions Live on LEGO Shop

LEGO has just started the Double Insider Points shopping event on the LEGO Shop as well as some new promotions that have just launched. In addition to earning 2x points on your purchases, you can also get the LEGO Bakery (40696) with purchases of $200 from now until October 25, while supplies last. There’s also the Kiki’s Coconut Attack & Steve and Baby Panda polybag bundle with purchases of $50 in Animal Crossing, Despicable Me 4, Fortnite, Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Super Mario.

Also from now until October 20, there are discounts on select sets which you can only see if you’re logged into your Insiders account. They aren’t anything too spectacular but the deals could be enough to entice you to reach that $200 requirement for the Bakery.

LEGO Ideas The Botanical Garden (21353) Teaser

The Adults Welcome section of the LEGO Shop has provided a teaser image of the upcoming LEGO Ideas The Botanical Garden (21353). The garden seems to be rather large, probably the size of modular and it looks to include a number of minifigures as well. The caption shows the set as a campaign promo so it doesn’t look like LEGO wasn’t ready to show it yet but hopefully the official reveal should be coming soon.

LEGO Bakery (40696) GWP Review

LEGO Bakery (40696)

Presumably the last LEGO shop set that will be released this year is the Bakery (40696). The set has 376 pieces and we’re assuming it’ll require a $200 purchase, similar to the previous shop sets.

The front of the Bakery has your typical boutique style design with the two windows on the sides of the door. Inside the windows, there are two giant cupcakes which is probably deceptive marketing.

The awning uses a combination of red and dark red slopes. The bakery sign uses a sticker and there’s a croissant logo above it.

On the second floor, there are some more smaller windows with some dark green awning above them.

On the back side of the bakery, it has an open concept as there is no back wall. This has stuck with all four of the shops that have released this year. The bottom floor has a showcase showing some of their offerings as well as a counter with more baked goods laying around.

The upper floor has some seating as well as an island of pastries in the middle.

LEGO Bakery (40696)

Overall, the LEGO Bakery (40696) isn’t a bad model but the thing that holds it back is the $200 purchase price requirement to get it. Although the model is fairly detailed, I don’t think it is worth the $200 purchase but if you’re already collecting the line, you’ll most likely get the last one. LEGO likes to double up on promotions for these sets so it’s more incentive to make a larger purchase so it’ll probably … Continue
