LEGO at San Diego Comic Con 2023

San Diego Comic Con 2023 is just a few days away and it looks like LEGO will be having a decent presence this year. They will still have their Booth #2829 which will be selling sets there but they haven’t revealed what will be displayed on the floor. I do have information about what will be going on there this week but it’s embargoed for another few days.

There were on LEGO exclusives in the portal and it’s already been closed so there’s nothing to expect there. They still could do something at the booth itself but we’ll see.

You can follow my Twitter or Threads to stay updated when things are happening there in real-time.

LEGO x Project K Building India Together Panel at SDCC 2023

At San Diego Comic Con 2023, there will be a Hall H panel for Project K which is India’s first Mytho-Sci-fi narrative. At first look, it doesn’t really involve LEGO but in one of our press emails, there will be a LEGO collaboration with Project K. I’m not sure how it will all fit in as the description is still pretty vague but I’m very interested to see what it is about. Project K will be the first Indian movie to be featured at Hall H at SDCC and it’ll be on Thursday, July 20 at 1pm.

Recognizing LEGO’s extraordinary creativity and ability to inspire, we see a remarkable opportunity for collaboration.

Most Indian children did not grow up with LEGO in the 90s and 2000s however as adults, they view LEGO with the sight of missed nostalgia.

Collaborating with Project K opens up the path for LEGO to enter the homes of Indian children and youth who wish to experience the joy of building and the pride of creation.

Integrating Indian cultural elements into LEGO sets and characters would offer a fresh experience for billions around the world and would open doors to a new era of imaginative play and cross-cultural appreciation.

Last Day for LEGO VIP Days 2023

Today is the last day to get your orders in for LEGO VIP Days on the LEGO Shop. Here in the US, it was fairly lackluster as the main promo sets were sold out after the first day and the only thing left is the LEGO Fun & Funky VIP Add On Pack (40512) with purchases of $50. Other parts of the world may still have the LEGO Icons Blacktron Cruiser (40580) and the BIONICLE Tahu and Takua (40581) available.

You can still get Double VIP Points for LEGO City, Friends, Harry Potter, and Technic. There’s also some discounted sets in their dedicated sales section of the site.
