2025 is well underway now and it’s time to do a 2024 recap on what happened on The Brick Fan. You know me, I love stats.
We had a total of 909 posts last year which equated to 25,849,939 page views. This marks a 15% decrease in page views from 2023. Pretty much every stat was down across the board but still respectable numbers. I’m not really sure why there’s a significant difference whether it be the Google algorithms not indexing the posts or being shadowbanned on my social media accounts but I’m not really too worried. I’ve learned that numbers aren’t everything and if my posts just get out to one person, then I’m happy. With that said, we’ve also passed the 200 million page view mark!
Not surpringly, May was again the best month out of the year with 2.7 million page views with May 6 being the best day out of the year with 224,647 views. The official announcement for the LEGO Ideas Tuxedo Cat (21349) was one of the big factors for this.
One thing that stands out from last year is that pretty much nobody reads my reviews. When I look at the numbers that I send to the Ambassador Network, they’re abysmal. The social media numbers reflect that as well. One main thing is that we’re not known as a review site compared to others and that’s one of the reasons so I guess that’s okay.
Social media has been a big part of our posting strategy, whether it be … Continue
