LEGO Icons Winter Village Alpine Lodge (10325) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced the next set for the Winter Village Collection with the LEGO Icons Alpine Lodge (10325). Releasing on October 1, the set has 1,517 pieces and will retail for $99.99.

The Alpine Lodge is a two-story building with a bar and sitting space on the lower level and a room on the upper level. There’s a light brick that illuminates the two fireplaces inside. Outside the lodge is a frozen pond along with an outhouse as well as a snowmobile pulling a tree.

Today the LEGO Group reveals the LEGO® Icons Alpine Lodge set, the perfect display set for the holiday season. A captivating addition to the holiday season that represents the essence of a quaint and whimsical winter wonderland, the LEGO Icons Alpine lodge is the latest addition to the Winter Village Collection.

This 1,517-piece set is packed with a host of wonderful features, the main being the snowy lodge, which is surrounded with warm interiors, such as a bar offering hot drinks, a cozy seating space in front of the fireplace and a little Christmas tree.

Excitingly, there is a light brick within the lodge, and it can be activated by pressing the top of the chimney, where it illuminates two different sections, the fireplace on the ground floor and the small fireplace in the child’s room. LEGO Ideas Escape with Lofi Girl Building Contest

Last week, LEGO teased a Lofi Girl collaboration and today LEGO Ideas announced a building contest for it. They want you build a place where you would like to escape to and relax while building and listening to music while incorporating Lofi Girl in it. The grand prize winner will get the following:

• 21329 Fender Stratocaster

• 10312 Jazz Club
• The Lofi Girl’s Plush Collection

BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 Submissions Now Live

Just like that, submissions for the Series 3 BrickLink Designer Program is now live and you can submit your entries in hopes that it will get chosen for fans to purchase your design. You’ll have until September 29 at 12:00pm PT which isn’t that much time to get your entries in unless you already have it ready to go. The crowd support will be happening from October 9-20 where fans can vote for their favorite submissions. After that, it’ll go into review and the final five designs will be announced on November 20. Crowdfunding won’t happen until October 24 and the final products won’t be released until March 2025.

Amazon Prime Big Deal Days 2023 Announced

Amazon has officially announced their upcoming Prime Big Deal Days which will be coming October 10-11. During these two days, Amazon Prime members will be able to purchase items at discounted prices, similar to Prime Days. Their press release does mention LEGO will be included in the sales so we’ll have to wait and see what sets get the deals. If you’re not a Prime member, you can try it for free for 30 days.

The LEGO Group Further Commits to Net-Zero Future

Leaders of the world are attending the UN General Assembly in New York and The LEGO Group CEO Niels B. Christiansen along with 26 other Danish businesses have urged others companies to commit to a greener future. LEGO hopes to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and is part of their overall plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 37% by 2032.

Billund, September 18, 2023: Today, as leaders of the world are convening at the UN General Assembly in New York LEGO Group CEO Niels B. Christiansen has joined CEOs from 26 Danish businesses, to support UN Secretary-General Guterres’ call for ambitious and credible commitments and clear and transparent plans to “rescue the SDGs”.

The LEGO Group is committed to playing its part in building a better planet for our children to inherit. In August 2023, the company pledged to work with the Science Based Targets initiative to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions) by 2050.

The pledge is an extension of its existing near-term climate target to reduce GHG emissions by 37% by 2032 from a 2019 base, which was previously approved by the SBTi.

A Carbon KPI, which will be tied to executive remuneration from 2024, will track progress towards carbon omissions and science-based targets.

The LEGO Group Plants 50,000 Trees at New Vietnam Factory

A few days ago, The LEGO Group announced that they have planted 50,000 trees at the new LEGO factory in Vietnam. The number of trees planted is more than double the amount that was removed for the construction of the new factory which will be opening in 2024.

BING DUONG PROVINCE, VIETNAM, September 15, 2023: The LEGO Group today celebrated the completion of 50,000 trees being planted at its new LEGO® factory in Binh Duong province in southern Vietnam. The event was attended by His Excellency, Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam Le Minh Khai, national and provincial officials, as well as business and community partners.
