LEGO Ideas Projects Currently Under Development – February 2023 Update

It’s been a while since we’ve done one of these but with the recent announcement of a few more LEGO Ideas winning projects, I felt this would be a great time to update the list of projects that are under various stages of development. This list will include projects that have been announced winners of their particular review stages as well as building contests and gift with purchase sets.

It has been teased by a LEGO designer that there will be four LEGO Ideas sets releasing in 2023 with one being a mystery set. I don’t believe it counts the A-Frame Cabin (21338) which is now available for purchase.

LEGO Speed Champions 007 Aston Martin DB5 (76911) Amazon Sale – February 2023

Continuing with the new Amazon sales, they currently have the LEGO Speed Champions 007 Aston Martin DB5 (76911) discounted 20% on the site. It is listed at $15.99 which saves you $4 on it. This set has the first James Bond minifigure so it does have some collecting value in the future and it looks like LEGO may be continuing these movie type vehicles so there’s a whole subtheme going on here.

LEGO Icons Moving Truck (40586) GWP Official Images

The product page for the upcoming LEGO Icons Moving Truck (40586) gift with purchase set is now live on the LEGO Shop which gives us the official images of the set. It has 301 pieces and listed as a $24.99 retail price so it probably means that it’ll be a fairly high price requirement when it eventually releases.

Introducing the LEGO® Icons Moving Truck (40586) building set, an immersive project for adults that’s sure to deliver hours of enjoyment. The set includes 2 LEGO minifigure movers who are on their way to deliver furniture to a jazz club. You can switch the minifigures’ expressions to tell fun stories, and the van has a removable roof and opening doors so you can fit all the accessories – including a jukebox and a piano – inside. Display your model as an eye-catching addition to any office or home.

LEGO Icons Moving Truck (40586) GWP First Look

There is now a first look at the upcoming LEGO Icons Moving Truck (40586) from its building instructions page. There’s no details about the set yet as we’ve just started the double VIP points event on the LEGO Shop so it’ll most likely be after that. The 301 piece set features two minifigures, a small moving truck, and some furniture and it’s supposed to fit in with the Jazz Club (10312).

LEGO Double VIP Points Event Live on LEGO Shop – February 2023

The February 2023 LEGO double VIP points event is now live on the LEGO Shop. You can now earn double the points on every purchase online and in stores until February 16. In addition, the promotion for the LEGO City 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue (40582) is also live and you can get it with purchases of $100 or more. It has been clarified that it will for for all purchases and not just LEGO City sets.

Some of the new exclusives that is a good idea to get double points on include the Jazz Club (10312), Hokusai – The Great Wave (31208), and the A-Frame Cabin (21338). Even though a few of them are on backorder status, you can still order them and get double points.

LEGO City 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue (40582) GWP Clarification

A few days ago, LEGO revealed the details for the LEGO City 4×4 Off-Road Ambulance Rescue (40582) gift with purchase set and we have some clarification on it. We can now confirm that it will be a minimum of $100 purchase but not just on LEGO City sets. Basically the restriction is off and any purchase of $100 will qualify. The Double VIP points event kicks off later tonight/tomorrow so it gives some more incentive to reach that threshold.
