LEGO Updates Retiring Soon List – November 2022

LEGO has updated their Retiring Soon list again and there are a lot more sets that have been added that will be going away at the end of the year. This is the from the UK list as of today so LEGO Shop US may not show these sets as retiring yet but they will be. I’m sure there will be even more LEGO sets added to this list in the next few weeks so I’ll try it keep it more updated. Some sets may already show that they are sold out so you may have to find another retailer that has them in stock.

LEGO has announced that they have broken ground on the new $1 billion factory in the Binh Duong Province of Vietnam. The factory is designed to be the most sustainable one in their portfolio and will be the sixth in Asia to support growth in the region. What’s interesting is that the factory design is inspired by local children’s LEGO builds.

LEGO Volkswagen T2 Camper Van (10279) Amazon Sale – November 2022

As the holiday season draws nearer, Amazon has been discounting more LEGO sets and the Volkswagen T2 Camper Van (10279) is now on sale for 22% off. It is now priced at only $140 which saves you $40 on it which is the lowest price the set has been at. This is also one of the sets that is set to be retired at the end of 2022.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) Amazon Sale – November 2022

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about this set but Amazon currently has a sale on the LEGO Star Wars UCS Imperial Star Destroyer (75252) for 11% off. As of right now, you can save $75 on it which drops the price down to $625 which is the lowest the set has been at. This set very rarely goes on sale and if you’re looking to pick it up, now’s a good time to. It’s still pretty pricey but a sale is a sale especially since the set is being retired and is already sold out on the LEGO Shop.

LEGO Announces Rebuild the World Holiday Campaign with Katy Perry

LEGO has announced that they are teaming up with Katy Perry for a new Rebuild the World Holiday campaign. The mystery silhouette that we saw a few days ago was a vehicle that kids created using LEGO bricks and was made into a real-life vehicle. It will be used to deliver presents during the holiday season.

In addition, the annual #BuildToGive campaign will be returing this year and LEGO is looking to donate two million sets to children in hospitals, children’s homes, and vulnerable communities. All you have to do is buiding something and share it on social media using the hashtag #BuildToGive before the end of the year.

The LEGO Group hand over the reins of its Holiday campaign to children (and Katy Perry adds a few extra Fireworks!)

Billund, November 1st, 2022 (9AM CET): The LEGO Group has launched its biggest and most playful Holiday campaign to date. This year, the 90-year-old brand turned to some of the most creative minds on the planet, children, to help supercharge its festive celebrations with fun.

The children were handed creative control behind the cameras, building, unbuilding and rebuilding what the Holidays mean to them. Rather than picture-perfect shots of snow, exquisitely set tables full of festive feasts, and crackling open fires, the children chose to design, build and bring to life a playful vehicle to help them deliver presents and bring the community together over the Holiday season.

The film shows children using play to navigate their way and overcome obstacles on their journey to deliver
