LEGO Mystery Build Reveal on November 1

Over on Instagram, LEGO has posted some mystery reveal coming on November 1st. The silhouette shows some sort of truck looking build and the caption says, “A new holiday icon built by kids. See it come alive November 1st.” We’re not sure if LEGO is just showcasing a custom build or if it’s actually a reveal that we can purchase later on. If it was my guess, I would say the former. We’ll know this coming Tuesday on what this is.

LEGO November 2022 Shopping Guide

November is just around the corner and it looks to be a fairly slow month with the LEGO releases. As of this post, we only know about the LEGO Ideas Table Football (21337) and the LEGO Marvel Hulkbuster (76210) which will be dropping November 1 and 4, respectively. There is a rumor about a LEGO Icons Eiffel Tower (10307) that will be releasing during the Black Friday event but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.

As of the the gift with purchases you can get during November, those are still under wraps since LEGO doesn’t promote them anymore until the month is actually here. There are rumors of three promotions throughout the month but two of them are said to be during Black Friday/VIP weekend. One is Gustave Eiffel’s Apartment (40579) which is given with purchases of the Eiffel Tower.

Another GWP during Black Friday/VIP weekend is a Tribute to the LEGO House (40563). It is reported that it is a minimum purchase amount GWP. Lastly, there some sort of Winter set with set number 40564. Details are very minimal on this one.

Of course, we also get Double VIP points as LEGO has been doing that during Black Friday/VIP weekend for many years now. A lot of people usually wait until then to make their purchases in November since there are a few promos that overlap during that time.

LEGO City Wildlife Rescue Operation (60302) Amazon Sale – October 2022

Amazon currently has the LEGO City Wildlife Rescue Operation (60302) on sale which can add up to it being 30% off. Right now you can save 24% but if you add the $5.01 coupon underneath the price, the set will end up being only $62.99. Unless there’s any bigger promotions, this will be the max discount you will probably see on it and it’ll be a more reasonable price considering the the larger parts that are in the set.

Mystery LEGO Friends Reveal Coming Soon

LEGO has teased a new LEGO Friends reveal coming soon in a YouTube Shorts that was published a few hours ago. From the silhouette, it looks to be eight characters that will be revealed. Whether they are the original girls or brand new characters remain to be seen. As reported back at LEGO Con 2022, LEGO Friends Heartlake Stories will be ending by the end of the year and that would be the last adventure the girls embark on so it may suggest that the mystery characters could be new ones.

LEGO MINDSTORMS Theme Ending

The LEGO MINDSTORMS theme has been a staple for the company since the theme was first introduced in 1998 but it looks like the theme will be ending at the end of 2022. With LEGO Education and other Build & Code experiences in place, they are shifting priorities and the LEGO MINDSTORMS team will be redirected into other departments.

This means all MINDSTORMS related items will be retired by the end of the year but the MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor App will be live until at least the end of 2024. LEGO will still keep the MINDSTORMS trademark and is accessing the opportunity to implement it with LEGO Education.

Since its launch in September 1998, LEGO MINDSTORMS has been one of the core ‘Build & Code’ experiences in the company’s portfolio, carrying with it significant brand equity and becoming a stand-out experience for the early days of consumer robotics and leading to current wBuild & Code experiences such as SPIKE Prime, from LEGO Education’s LEGO Learning System.

However, now having a number of priorities in LEGO Education and other Build & Code experiences, we have decided to focus our resources and future plans by redirecting our MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor team and their expertise into different areas of the business.

This means the physical MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor product (51515) and its related elements (88016 and 88018) are to exit our portfolio from the end of 2022, whilst digital platforms – such as the LEGO MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor App – will remain live until at least the end of
