LEGO Ideas The Evolution of STEM (21355) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially revealed the newest LEGO Ideas set that is in collaboration with Target called The Evolution of STEM (21355). Releasing on March 1 (Pre-order today), the set has 879 pieces and will retail for $79.99. The set was the winning build from the Celebrate the Wonder of STEM! building contest which started in November 2023 and was announced in March 2024.

The set features a base of an open book that has mini builds that are historic innovations and includes minifigures of Marie Curie, Sir Isaac Newton, and George Washington Carver.

Open a brick-built book on the evolution of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) with this LEGO® Ideas collectible display model for adults (21355). An inspiring science gift for women, men and history-lovers, the set features a buildable base in the shape of an open book topped by mini builds that represent historic innovations. Build an early car and a home computer, the NASA Voyager Probe with the Golden Record on board for any extraterrestrial life form that may find it, and much more. Turn the dial to make a 3D replica of a carbon atom float upwards and a DNA strand rotate.

The set includes LEGO minifigures of 3 famous scientists: Marie Curie, the first person ever to win 2 Nobel prizes; Sir Isaac Newton, famous for his law of universal gravitation; and pioneering agricultural scientist George Washington Carver.

LEGO Ninjago City Workshops (71837) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially revealed the next LEGO Ninjago modular set with the Ninjago City Workshops (71837). Releasing on March 1, the set has 3,244 pieces and will retail for $249.99.

The Ninjago City Workshops features a four story building with a mechanic workshop, two working cranes, and a mech bay allowing you to create and customize a posable mech. There’s also apartment buildings and restaurants that can be removed to access the interiors. The whole Ninjago City Workshops is modular and is compatible with the other Ninjago City sets that have previously released.

The minifigures included in the set are Zane, Pixal, Harumi, Dorama, Dr. LaRow, Twitchy Tim, Model Shop Owner, Workshop Mechanic, Restaurant Worker, Dragonian Tourist, and a brick-built Dorama’s Puppet.

LEGO NINJAGO City Workshops Set: A New Play Experience in the NINJAGO City Series

LEGO Marvel Iron Man’s Laboratory: Hall of Armour (76315) Revealed

German retailer Alternate.de has revealed the new LEGO Marvel Iron Man’s Laboratory: Hall of Armour (76315). The set has 384 pieces and is a remake of some of the Hall of Armor sets that LEGO has released previously although this one would be one of the smaller ones out of the four that has been produced.

The set is based on Iron Man 3 and includes minifigures of Iron Man MK4, Pepper Potts, Iron Patriot MK1, Iron Man MK43, DUM-E, and Aldrich Killian. It also includes a brick-built Iron Man MK 38 (Igor). The Iron Patriot will be an updated minifigure as the last one was released back in 2013 as part of a polybag promo for the the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game.

Update: LEGO has put up the product page for the set and you can now pre-order it on the LEGO Shop. The set retails for $54.99 and will be available in April.

The LEGO Group Increasing Solar Capacity at LEGO Factories

This year, The LEGO Group will be increasing their solar capacity to help in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The company will be installing panels in six LEGO factories around the world and is planning to further increase solar capacity globally by 72% this year. LEGO is still on track to reduce greenhouse gas emission by 2032 and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
