The LEGO Ideas Jaws (21350) is now available for purchase on the LEGO Shop. It has 1,497 pieces and retails for $149.99. The 58th Ideas set recreates one of the most iconic scenes in cinematic history with the Orca and Bruce. It also includes minifigures of Chief Martin Brody, Matt Hooper, and Sam Quint. The set does get you 3/4 of the way to the $200 requirement for the Micro Rocket Launchpad (40712) gift with purchase set if you are going for it.

LEGO has revealed another LEGO Christmas set with the Christmas Ornament Selection (40744). Releasing on September 1, the set has 153 pieces and retails for $12.99. It features four ornaments with pictures of Santa Claus, a reindeer, a snowman, and a gift.

Another new LEGO Seasonal set has been revealed on the LEGO Shop with the Halloween Barn (40721). Releasing on September 1, the set has 205 pieces and will retail for $14.99. The set features a small barn decorated for Halloween and it includes a skeleton.

LEGO has revealed a new Seasonal Christmas set with the Christmas Table Decoration (40743). Releasing on September 1, the set has 433 pieces and will retail for $39.99. The set features a red candle surrounded by red berries, golden stars, and green foliage.

LEGO Ideas Working River Rapids Ride – Fairground Rafting Coaster Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Working River Rapids Ride – Fairground Rafting Coaster by Baron von Barron is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 3,000 piece build features a typical fairground ride and you can manually guide the cars through the track or use a motor to operate the drivetrain.

AFOL Community Integration Manager Jan Beyer Leaves The LEGO Group

It’s a sad day in the LEGO world as longtime AFOL Community Integration Manager Jan Beyer has announced that he left the company. Some of you may have met Jan at various LEGO conventions throughout the years and he was an integral part in helping grow the AFOL community whether it be working with LUGs or just answering questions from fans.

Jan will now be working with LEGO Certified Professional Caspar Bennedsen from Brick Works as a Development Manager. Although I haven’t personally met Jan, I wish him the best in his new position. He’ll still be around at LEGO conventions so you’ll still see him as a regular fan.
