LEGO has released some new Lunar New Year activities on the LEGO Shop. There are some free downloadable instructions for a Pagoda (104 pieces) and a Lantern (33 pieces). You’ll have to supply your own parts but they can be used for small decorations.
There are also some finger puppet origami instructions for Year of the Tiger as well as for the Year of the Pig. The instructions are the same for both animals but you can decorate whatever animal you prefer.
There are some rumors regarding the summer 2022 LEGO City sets which involves new farm sets coming soon. According to StoneWars, there are three farms sets plus another wildlife safari set that are set to be released in June:
• Chicken Coop (60344) – 101 pieces
• Vegetable Delivery Truck (60345) – 310 pieces
• Farm with Animals (60346) – 230 pieces
• Wildlife Rescue Mission (60353) – 246 pieces
The Chicken Coop is said to have three chickens plus a golden chicken. The Vegetable Delivery Truck is reported to have some rabbits. Finally, the Farm with Animals will probably be the go-to set having six animals including a cow, calf, pig, piglet, sheep, and lamb. There’s no details on the wildlife set at this time.
Obviously, it’s still too early to confirm whether these sets are true or not but StoneWars does have a good track record of reporting new sets.
The Steampunk Airship by BrickHammer is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas again. This is the exact same project that hit the goal last year but was rejected when it was grouped up with 56 other projects in the First 2021 Review Stage.
The project now joins The Forestmen Secret Inn, The Legendary Concorde, Wild West Mine, LEGO Koala, LEGO Toilet, and Mini City Diorama: London with Underground Station! as the ones to reach the First 2022 Review Stage.
LEGO has just released some of the new 2022 LEGO BrickHeadz for purchase on the LEGO Shop. The Lion Dance Guy (40540) and the two Pets which includes the St. Bernard (40543) and the French Bulldog (40544) are now available after a short delay for North America. In July 2021, LEGO released a statement on pausing the LEGO VIDIYO theme until further notice and today, LEGO has announced that the theme will indeed be discontinued. The past few months the LEGO VIDIYO team has been testing new ideas for the theme to make it a sustainable business but it turns out that it wouldn’t work. LEGO will be discontinuing the theme on January 31 but the app will still be supported for another two years. You can read the official statement below.
In July 2021 we decided to pause the LEGO VIDIYO roll-out to review performance and test new ideas. Through the extensive quantitative and qualitative research we have undertaken in the previous months, we have gained an enormous amount of learnings in terms of the music & content creation space and what it would take to succeed with the play experience, our go-to-market strategy in 2023 and not least how to build a sustainable business based on the VIDIYO experience.
Based on these insights we have decided to discontinue the physical VIDIYO products from January 31st 2022 but will continue to support the app experience for another two years to serve those consumers who have bought the products.
We still see great potential in pursuing music as a passion point and we will take learnings from LEGO VIDIYO as we continue to explore future fluid play experiences.
The Mini City Diorama: London with Underground Station! by John Harvey is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build features a little city that fits all on a 16×16 baseplate.

It has been announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will officially be released on April 5. The game has been in limbo for a few years due to COVID but it’s now ready to go. The Deluxe Edition for the game will include the Character Collection Bundle Pack and details for that have also been revealed.
