LEGO Gaming Horizon Zero Dawn Tallneck (76989) Product Listing Found

There been talk of a new LEGO Gaming subtheme that is said to be coming out in 2022 and it looks like a set for the them has been revealed at a German toy retailer. The listing suggests that we could be seeing a set from Horizon Zero Dawn which is the Tallneck (76989). It is listed as a 18+ set so we’ll most likely see the newer style of boxes and it is priced at €79.99. The set has been rumored before and it was reported to have 1,222 pieces. If you’re not familiar with the Tallneck from Horizon Zero Dawn, they are machine creatures that Aloy tracks down to progress in the game.

It’s interesting that LEGO chose Horizon Zero Dawn as one of the games for the LEGO Games theme since it’s been over four years since the game released with the sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, set to be released in February 2022 and the Tallneck to be released in May 2022.

Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Trailer

Marvel has just released the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and we finally get to see what is going to be happening in the movie. There’s a lot to take in but Doctor Strange seeks help from Scarlet Witch after the events of Wandavision and asks about the Multiverse. If you watched the What If…? animated series, it also somehow ties into one of the episodes there as well.

We also get to see a glimpse of Gargantos which is in the upcoming LEGO Marvel set, and Gargantos Showdown (76205). There should be more trailers for the movie before the May 6 release date but I’m pretty excited for it so far. Our review of the Gargantos Showdown is should be up in the next day or so so keep an eye out for that.

LEGO Survey Gauges Interest on New Subscription Programs

LEGO Subscription

LEGO has kicked off a new survey in the Rewards Center to measure the interest of some new LEGO subscription programs. Under the “Get More Points” tab, the survey gives you 150 VIP points for completing and it asks you about two different subscription plans. Both plans will cost $4.99 per month and they will both include the following:

• Free delivery on your LEGO purchases
• Early access to products, experiences and content (video, audio, building instructions & games)
• Access to limited edition products
• Purchase from back catalogue (get sets from previous years, etc.)
• Return used bricks and receive discounts/points to use elsewhere with TLG
• Free gifts with every purchase

Other than that, both plans have slightly different features. The first plan allows you to track your collection digitially using a LEGO wallet while also having your other LEGO experiences in one place. The second plan focuses more on the learning aspect of LEGO where you have workshops and courses from LEGO experts.

Obviously, this is still in the early stages and does not mean that LEGO will actually be doing a subscription service. Personally, I chose the first plan as those features are geared towards me more. If you have younger kids, maybe the other plan with the learning features are more suited for you. Again, you can get 150 VIP points for completing the survey but you have until January 7 to do so.

The 3-in-1 set is now priced at $7.99 which saves you $2 on it and it is the first time the set has hit the 20% discount. It’s nothing too special but it was one of the cooler 3-in-1 sets released back in 2020.
