LEGO Ideas Stargate Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Stargate project by CaptainMutant is the latest one to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is based on highly popular show and is used to mark the upcoming 25th anniversary. It features the iconic Stargate portal along with the gangway. The project also proposes six minifigures: Colonel Jack O’Neill, Captain Samantha Carter, Teal’c, Dr Daniel Jackson, and two Jaffa warriors.

The project now joins Land Ahoy, Terrariums, Great Coral Reef, Hyrule Castle 30th Anniversary, Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Avatar Returns, Clockwork Solar System, The Dojo, Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage, Naruto: Ichiraku Ramen Shop, Motorized Johnny 5, James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), The LEGO Emergency Box, LEGO Rubik’s Cube (Working), and Brooklyn Nine-Nine: 99th Precinct, Steampunk Explorers, Moominhouse ムーミン屋敷, Castle Outpost, Downtown Records, The Meeting Point, LEGO Ghibli, Baba Yaga, Soyuz Rocket, Orchid, Pirate Tavern, Riverside Scholars, Union Pacific “Big Boy”, and Magic Bookends as the ones to reach the Third 2021 Review Stage.

LEGO Technic John Deere 9620R 4WD Tractor (42136) Revealed

The LEGO 1HY Catalog hasn’t been published online yet but physical copies have been circulation around the world and we now have our first look at the LEGO Technic John Deere 9620R 4WD Tractor (42136). RacingBrick managed to grab a copy of the Hungarian version which shows the tractor. There’s no details about it but it will be released in March 2022. The other sets that have been previously revealed in the German catalog were the Telehandler (42133), All-Terrain Vehicle (42139), and the App-controlled Transformation Car (42140).

LEGO Overwatch 2 Titan (76980) Revealed

The LEGO Overwatch theme was introduced back in 2018 and the theme finally makes its return in 2022 with a new set revealed as Titan (76980). The set is actually based on Overwatch 2 which I expected and it features Tracer and Mei who finally has a LEGO minifigure. The Titan is one of the main Omnics in Overwatch 2 which was featured in the announcement cinematic.

There’s no mentioning on a release date for the set but the game has been delayed indefinitely although the Overwatch League will be using an early version of the game when the season starts.

If you’re a long-time reader of the site, you’ll know that I’m a huge Overwatch fan even to this day. I still play it when I have some free time and I’m still waiting for that Lucio minifigure.

LEGO BrickHeadz Toy Story Buzz Lightyear (40552) Revealed

LEGO Shop Malaysia has revealed a brand new LEGO BrickHeadz Toy Story set with Buzz Lightyear (40552). The set has 115 pieces and will most likely retail for $9.99. The back of the box also reveals two more Toy Story BrickHeadz with Woody and Bo Peep (40553) two-pack. There’s no word yet on their release dates.

The Magic Bookends by Brick Dangerous is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. Although it looks like one whole build, both sides are actually separate and you can put books in between as a functional piece. It consists of 1,496 pieces and from the looks of it, it also includes two minifigures.
