LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) Promotion Now Live – September 2021

The promotion for the LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) gift-with-purchase set is now live again on the LEGO Shop. You can get it with purchases of $85 or more until September 12, while supplies last. The set was first released back in June but VIPs can get their hands on it again. In addition, the promotion does stack with the LEGO FC Barcelona Celebration (40485) when you purchase Camp Nou (10284).

LEGO Ideas Land Ahoy Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Land Ahoy project by Ralf Ranghaal is the latest one to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It features an ocean scene with a ship and some land but it also includes a nice feature that we haven’t seen before in previous projects. The ocean can be rolled up for a nice looking effect which you can see below.

Update: The project just missed the deadline to get into the Second 2021 Review Stage so it is the first one to reach the Third 2021 Review Stage.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Repulbic Gunship (75309) Designer Video

The LEGO Star Wars UCS Repulbic Gunship (75309) has been out for a month now and LEGO has just recently released the designer video for the set. LEGO Designer Hans Burkhard Schlomer talks about some of the details in the set including some of the features the gunship has. Fans have been hard on LEGO on this particular set due to the number of errors that it has and it shows with the number of dislikes the video has however it doesn’t stop fans from buying it as it is now temporarily out of stock on the LEGO Shop.

Our local friends at Disguise, Inc. has announced a multi-year renewal of global rights for their LEGO costume line. The company has made LEGO themed costumes and accessories since 2015 and have recently expanded into costumes for adults. LEGO Ideas Sonic Mania – Green Hill Zone (21331) Rumored Details

There are some new details coming from Promobricks regarding the LEGO Ideas Sonic Mania – Green Hill Zone (21331). The set is rumored to be released in January 2022 for 69.99€. It is said that it will look slightly different from the submitted project, shown above, and it will be larger and linearly arranged meaning it’ll look like a 2D level similar to what you see in game.

We’ve already had a Sonic minifigure from the LEGO Dimensions Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack (71244), but we could possibly see an update to it. It is also said that Dr. Robotnik/Eggman will have the Egg Mobile and have Crabmeat as an additional characters, all of which are brick-built. As always, these are only rumors until LEGO announces it.

LEGO CON 2021 DOTS Mosaic Displayed at LEGO House

During LEGO CON 2021 back in June, LEGO did a mosaic building event with people around the world and the final product is now completed and is on display at the LEGO House. Over 50 countries participated and there are over 27,000 LEGO DOTS mosaics created for this project. Fans can check it out at the LEGO House until the end of the year.

LEGO® art from more than 50 countries is decorating LEGO House

Over the summer, LEGO® fans from all over the world have creatively turned small LEGO mosaics into a giant work of art, which launches today, 3 September, at the large LEGO experience house in Billund.

The artwork is for everyone by everyone. More than 27,000 LEGO DOTS mosaics have been created both physically and digitally by LEGO fans from near and far, either in LEGO House or from their own home. Here, they have built, designed or with the LEGO DOTS online design tool dotted their contribution to this unique artwork.

LEGO fans from more than 50 countries including the US, Germany, Australia, as well as Ecuador and Chile have contributed to the giant LEGO DOTS wall installation. They have each contributed with at least one small work of art, which have all been put together to form one giant masterpiece
