LEGO Ideas Building Contest for LEGO Harry Potter 20th Anniversary

LEGO is celebrating the 20th anniversary of LEGO Harry Potter and they have a building contest over on LEGO Ideas to mark the event. All you have to do is to build something that includes the number 20. It’s fitting that you should build something Harry Potter related but it could be anything original. You are allowed to use LEGO Harry Potter minifigures or generic ones. The deadline to enter is October 6 at 6am EST.

The LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition (76391) is now available for pre-order on the LEGO Shop. If you didn’t hear, the release of the set has been postponed in North America for two weeks due to shipping delays and won’t be available until September 15. The set is now available for purchase in other parts of the world.

LEGO Ideas The A-Team: Van and Crew Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The A-Team: Van and Crew by HenkvdL05 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is inspired by the iconic 1979 Chevrolet Van that uses 470 pieces. Of course, there’s no A-Team without the characters and the minifigures include BA Baracus, Hannibal, Face, and Howling Mad Murdock.

BrickLink Designer Program Round 2 Crowdfunding Projects Revealed

BrickLink has updated the BrickLink Designer Program landing page and we now know which projects will be in Round 2 of crowdfunding. There are nine projects in this round and they have just started test building stage with crowdfunding starting late 2021. Of course, all the projects have to meet the standards to be able to move on and hopefully they all make it.

One unfortunate thing has also been announced and that is the Anatomini project by Stephanix has been archived and will no longer be available for crowdfunding “due to the complexity of revising the model.” That now makes six projects so far that have been archived due to various reasons without even reaching the actual crowdfunding stage.

LEGO DC Scarecrow Showdown (76239) and Batmobile Tumbler (76240) Pre-Order on LEGO Shop

LEGO has put up the pre-orders for the new LEGO DC Batmobile Tumblers on the LEGO Shop. You can now put your orders in for the Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown (76239) for $39.99 and the Batmobile Tumbler (76240) for $229.99. It doesn’t say when the two sets will ship but if it’s the same as on Amazon, the smaller one will be out in October and the larger one will be in November.

LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284) Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced the new LEGO FC Barcelona Camp Nou (10284). The set has 5,509 pieces and will retail for $349.99/£299.99/€329.99. In addition to the release of the set, there is also a trivia for a chance to win the new set, a personalised minifigure in the famous red and blue football strip and a certificate recognising your superfan status. There are a total of 46 prizes up for grabs, one prize for each of the members of FC Barcelona’s female and male first team squads.

In addition, there is also the promotion for the LEGO FC Barcelona Celebration (40485) with purchases of Camp Nou (10284). It will run from September 1-12, while supplies last.
