LEGO Ideas/Chronicle Books Puzzle Fan Vote Live

Back in June, LEGO Ideas started a building contest for Chronicle Books to create an idea for a puzzle to be released at a future date. The entries are now set and the fan vote for the contest is now live. There are 40 total entries spread out in four categories which include Space, Retro, Nature, and Architecture. You have only once chance to cast your vote so choose wisely. Voting will end on August 19 and there will be one winner in each category. Since there are two announcements, the fan vote winners will not necessarily be made into a puzzle.

BrickLink Designer Program Round 1 Sold Out?

It’s been a week since the first round restart of the BrickLink Designer Program and it looks like all five project have sold out or did it? The site says that they have all sold out but there was still a lot of pre-orders open for the Sheriff’s Safe, Kakapo, and Pursuit of Flight as of yesterday. I’m pretty sure that this is just a programming error on their part because you are still able to add them to the LEGO Shop cart if you have the direct links. Lucky for you, we have them readily available and you can continue to purchase them.

Sheriff’s Safe (910016) – $49.99
Kakapo (910017) – $79.99
Pursuit of Flight (910028) – $54.99

In addition, Round 2 crowdfunding is listed as August 15 but we already know that it was pushed to September because of the extended rounds. Round 3 looks to be at the correct pace for a November 1 crowdfunding according to the new structure image in the link post.

LEGO Build It – Marvel’s What If…? Episode 1: Captain Carter

The first episode of Marvel’s What If…? series aired today on Disney+ and it was for Captain Carter. To accompany the show, LEGO has already released the Captain Carter & The Hydra Stomper (76201) set which is decent representation of what was shown in the episode.

There are still eight episodes left for this season and there are already some other LEGO products that will also be connected to the show. One of which is Tony Stark’s Sakaarian Iron Man (76194) and the other is a few characters from the LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures (71031). These characters include T’Challa Star-Lord, Captain Carter, Gamora with the Blade of Thanos, Zombie Hunter Spidey and Zombie Captain America.

The Secrets of LEGO House Now Available

Just released yesterday was one a new book from Chronicle Books called The Secrets of LEGO House. The 160 page book consists of a lot of details about the LEGO House that isn’t really mentioned anywhere else online. It also goes in-depth about the different zones the LEGO House has, yellow for emotions, blue for problem solving, green for social interaction, and red for creativity. There’s also a ton of colored pictures that aren’t found online as well. The book does cost $40 but it does make for a good read and a good coffee table book.

BIONICLE: Masks of Power Video Game First Look

In addition to being LEGO’s 89th birthday, it is also BIONICLE Day or 810NICLE Day. To celebrate the day, Team Kanohi has given a first look at BIONICLE: Masks of Power which is an open world adventure game that retells the stories of BIONICLE. Using Unreal Engine 4, the game has been in the works for five years. There is a planned demo coming soon but no release date announced at this time. You can wishlist it now over on Steam.
