Mountain View Observatory Not Ready for BrickLink Designer Program Crowdfunding

The BrickLink Designer Program is set to kick off the crowdfunding stage for the projects that were production ready. For those who were waiting to pre-order Mountain View Observatory, you won’t be able to because it has been moved to another round due to the high complexity of it. The last update on it was on May 14 for it to get ready but it wasn’t enough time to do so. Hopefully, it’ll be ready for either of the next crowdfunding rounds.

Unfortunately, due to high complexity of this project, it will no longer be included in Round 1 crowdfunding. It will be available for crowdfunding in another round. Please check back for updates.

There will still be seven projects available for pre-order tomorrow which includes the Sheriff’s Safe, Pursuit of Flight, BIONICLE Legends, Kakapo, Castle in the Forest, Particle Accelerator, and Great Fishing Boat.

Thanks to Shayne for the heads up.

LEGO Shop July 2021 Shopping Guide

July is coming up and this is your reminder that there will be some new products and promotions that will kick off tonight on the LEGO Shop. The main promotion is for the LEGO adidas Originals Superstar (40486) with purchases of $85 or more, while supplies last. The promo runtime was supposed to be from July 1-25 but the Store Calendar seems to have changed it to July 1-14 so plan accordingly and there might not be that much stock since they’ve shortened the time.

Speaking of adidas, the LEGO adidas Originals Superstar (10282) buildable shoe will be available for $79.99. You can read my review here.

The new LEGO Ideas Typewriter (21327) will be available to the general public for $199.99 but as of right now, it is out of stock. We’ll see if LEGO puts it up again for sale. You can read my review here.

The LEGO Monkie Kid theme will have three new sets added to the lineup.

Sandy’s Power Loader Mech (80025) – $54.99
Pigsy’s Noodle Tank (80026) – $59.99
The Bone Demon (80028) – $119.99

Lastly, we have the new LEGO Disney The Ice Castle (43197) which also retails for $199.99. It is a larger scale castle that is comparable to the original Disney Castle (71040) but it’s not labeled as an exclusive.

LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) Sold Out on LEGO Shop

It almost took the whole promotional period but it appears the LEGO Swing Ship Ride (5006746) has been sold out on the LEGO Shop. The promo was supposed to run until tomorrow night but the banner has been removed and it also doesn’t show up on the Offers & Sale page, at least here in the US. LEGO Brand Stores may still have some left but I would suggest calling them to see if they do or not.

LEGO CON 2021 VOD on YouTube

If you missed out on LEGO CON 2021 last Saturday, LEGO has put up the VOD over on YouTube. Spoiler alert, you really didn’t miss much and it is geared more towards kids and families. I think this is LEGO’s worst videos YouTube in terms of likes/dislikes.

On a side note, LEGO is taking feedback on the event and hopefully they learn from it if they decide to do more in the future.

LEGO Minecraft Character Skin Vote for 2022 Set

If you missed it during LEGO CON 2021, LEGO has kicked off a poll where you can choose a new skin for one of the minifigures in a LEGO Minecraft set for next year. LEGO has confirmed that the theme will be continuing in 2022 and you can choose a skin for either a Ninja, Warrior, or Ranger. Head on over to Twitter to cast your vote. If you’re seeing it now, the Ninja has an overwhelming lead with about four days left to vote.
