The BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 sets are now live for pre-order on the LEGO Shop. The sets need a minimum of 3,000 pre-orders to be produced and will hava a maximum of 30,000 sets made. The pre-orders will run until June 30 or sold out and will ship by the end of this year or early next year.

Focus Films and LEGO has released the official trailer for the Pharrell Williams animated LEGO biopic Piece by Piece. releasing on October 11, the movie will star Pharrell Williams along with other stars including Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar, Timbaland, Busta Rhymes, and Snoop Dogg.

From Focus Features, PIECE BY PIECE was directed by Academy Award® winner Morgan Neville and produced by Neville and Caitrin Rogers (Tremolo Productions) alongside producers Pharrell Williams, Mimi Valdés, and Shani Saxon (i am OTHER). Jill Wilfert and Keith Malone are executive producing for the LEGO Group.

Tetris Solid by victorvey300 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build brings the game to the physical world using LEGO bricks for the various shapes.
The project joins Claw Machine Wallace & Gromit – A Grand Day Out, Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus Multi Player, Impression Sunrise – Monet, The Loneliness of the Voyager – NASA’s Voyager Mission, Artists Cafe – The University House, Humpback Whale Breach, Tintin – Space Rocket, and The Iron Giant in the Forest as the ones to reach the Second 2024 Review Stage.
Brickset has discovered some new LEGO City sets which will feature a new interactive brick to enhance play with the sets. These sets include the Jungle Explorer Base Camp (60691), The Lost Crocodile Temple (60692), and the Survivor Island Seaplane (60693). These sets feature an interactive brick along with tile tags and interactive minifigures which will “deliver a sensory-rich and responsive play experience for kids.”
It looks like the smart bricks is currently being beta tested over in the UK and should hopefully spread to other markets later on. North America doesn’t even have any of these sets listed yet so we’ll probably have to wait a few more months to see what they’re all about.
The Iron Giant in the Forest by hachiroku24 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The build is based on the earlier scene from The Iron Giant where Hogarth finds the robot along with the S symbol and the red car.
