LEGO Clarifies Reports of LEGO City/Fire Set Removals

For those who saw reports of LEGO stopping sales of LEGO City Police and Fire sets, you’ll be glad to know that is completely false. LEGO has released a statement this morning regarding the issue and explained that they were just temporarily pausing the advertising of the sets in response to the events happening here in the US. Nowhere in the email, which I also received, did it say that they were not selling the sets anymore.

We’ve seen incorrect reports saying we’ve removed some LEGO sets from sale. To be clear, that is not the case and reports otherwise are false. Our intention was to temporarily pause digital advertising in response to events in the US. We hope this clears things up. ♥️

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Summer 2020 Sets Available June 21

LEGO has updated the release dates of some of the upcoming summer 2020 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set and we don’t have to wait that long for them. Three of the sets that were announced a few weeks ago now has a release date of June 21. The rest of them are labeled as coming soon which probably means they will be released in August.

If you’re a polybag collector, you’ll be glad to know that LEGO is now selling polybags on LEGO Shop@Home. They have a number of older ones currently available in a wide variety of themes. Note that some of them were fairly rare when they first released as they were only found at certain retailers. There is a limit of 50 per order. Thanks to everyone who emailed in about this.

In the wake of current events, LEGO has announced that they will be donating $4 million to organizations that are dedicated to supporting black children and educating about racial equality. LEGO has usually been quiet on controversial issues but they have taken a stand and not staying silent.

We stand with the black community against racism and inequality.

LEGO Hot Rod (40409) Promotional Set Review

The current promotion going on at LEGO Shop@Home is for the LEGO Hot Rod (40409) which you can get for free with purchases of $85 until June 21 or while supplies last. The set has 142 pieces and it pays homage to some older sets including the LEGO Model Team Blue Fury (5541) from 1995 and the remake from 2004.

LEGO House Wooden Duck (40501) Building Instructions for North America

Yesterday, LEGO “revealed” the next exclusive LEGO House set which is the Wooden Duck (40501) and you were able to download the building instructions, if you aren’t in North America. If you are, you may have gotten an error trying to download it because North America has been geo-blocked for some reason. I was able to get a copy of it through VPN and you can download the instructions here. The file is 23.5MB so it’s a decent size. Thank you to those who also offered to send the file over as well.
