LEGO House Exclusive Wooden Duck (40501) Revealed

Earlier this year, it was reported that the LEGO House Tree of Creativity (4000026) would be retired and a new exclusive set would be taking its place. Fast forward to today, we now know of the set thanks to Brickset which is the Wooden Duck (40501). The building instructions were found uploaded to Customer Service but it looks like they have been quickly taken down.

The set pays homage to the Wooden Duck created by Ole Kirk Christiansen that was released in 1935. Like with other LEGO House exclusives, I don’t see it being available online and will be only available at the LEGO House, unless you have connections or purchase them off the secondary market.

The main highlight set that has released is the LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 (42115).

Update: I’m not sure why LEGO took the Venomsaurus set down.

LEGO Ideas Trabant 601 Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Trabant 601 by pedankopet is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. I’m not too familiar with the car but it was stated that the Trabant is one of the more iconic cares of the socialist era of Europe. It features a two-door sedan with opening doors, hood, and trunk. You can also access the interior by removing the roof.

It now joins The Mountain Windmill, Community – Greendale Community College, LEGO HeroQuest, Brickwest Studios, House from Up, and Animal Crossing New Horizons: Nook’s Cranny as the projects to reach the Second 2020 Review Stage.

LEGO Hot Rod (40409) Official Images

There are now official images of the LEGO Hot Rod (40409) which will be available starting tomorrow with purchases of $85 or more, while supplies last. The 142 piece set references some older sets including the Model Team Blue Fury (5541) from 1995 and LEGO Creator Hot Rod (10151) from 2004. If my guess is right, it promotion should go live on LEGO Shop@Home around midnight EST/9pm PST and will run until June 21. This set will sell out fairly fast unless LEGO made a lot of them.
