LEGO Harry Potter Magical Treasury: A Visual Guide to the Wizarding World Tom Riddle Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

Amazon has updated their product listing for the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Magical Treasury: A Visual Guide to the Wizarding World to include more images and it reveals the exclusive minifigure that will be coming with the book. The additional pages show that the minifigure will be Tom Riddle from The Chamber of Secrets in which he will be wearing his Hogwarts uniform. I think this is a good minifigure considering that this is only the second Tom Riddle minifigure for the LEGO Harry Potter line and an updated version of him. The book itself will be available in July but you can pre-order it now for $21.99 with the pre-order price guarantee.

LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) Amazon Sale – March 2020

One of the hottest sets at the beginning of the year was the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) and now Amazon currently has it on sale. So far, it’s only a dollar off or a 7% discount but at this time, any deal is a deal. I don’t expect to see a huge sale on this set until the holiday shopping season. Note that is set has been on backorder status on and off on Shop@Home since it was released in January.

The Batman Batmobile Revealed by Matt Reeves – How Will it Look in LEGO Form?

Yesterday The Batman director Matt Reeves gave us a first look at the Batmobile from the movie. I’m not sure if LEGO will be doing any sets for this movie but more than likely they will since they’re pretty big on Batman. The Batmobile doesn’t have the classic feel to it and it has a suped up engine on the back. If LEGO does decide to release a set for The Batman, I wonder how they would do it, especially with the engine. The film releases on June 25, 2021 so they still have time to plan out the design.

The LEGO Group 2019 Annual Report Results

LEGO has announced that they had a great year in 2019 and consumer sales, revenue, and profit grew. Consumer sales grew 5.6% last year compared to 2018. Their revenue grew 6% to DKK 38.5 billion. Their net profit increased 3% even though the company made investments in long-term growth initiatives.

The top selling themes in no particular order for 2019 were LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Friends, LEGO Technic, LEGO Classic, and LEGO Star Wars. In addition, the LEGO Harry Potter, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and LEGO Disney Princess themes also did very well. The LEGO Ideas Friends Central Perk (21319) became the fastest selling set ever.

Last year, LEGO launched its first integrated global brand advertising campaign in more than 30 years called Rebuild the World and that attracted new consumers along with their acquisition of BrickLink.

The company opened 150 new branded stores and it now has 570 stores around the world with another 150 more planned for 2020 with a majority of it in mainland China.

Lastly, LEGO announced some changes in the chairmanship of LEGO A/S. Thomas Kirk Kristiansen will assume the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Søren Thorup Sørensen, CEO of KIRKBI A/S, will become Vice Chairman. Jørgen Vig Knudstorp will remain a member of the Board.
