LEGO Double VIP Points Event Rumored for March

The March 2020 LEGO Store Calendar was released yesterday and we got to see some of the promotions but it didn’t show anything about any Double VIP points since we haven’t gotten it for a few months. I have on good intel that we will be getting a LEGO Double Point event next month from March 20-29. We don’t have any official details on it at this time but we’ll probably get an email as we get closer to the start date.

LEGO Still Life with Bricks: The Art of Everyday Play by Chronicle Books

There’s a new book coming out from Chronicle Books in April called LEGO Still Life with Bricks: The Art of Everyday Play. It was announced during New York Toy Fair last week and it features art using LEGO bricks in everyday objects. The book will be released on hardcover on April 7 and it is priced at $18.95 on Amazon. There is also a set of 100 collectible postcards that you can get as well for $22.95 which features the same artwork from the book.

Capturing the boundless creativity of the LEGO® brand, this colorful book recreates objects and scenes from everyday life using LEGO bricks.

Transforming handfuls of bricks into minty toothpaste, eggs and bacon, lush houseplants, and more, LEGO Still Life reimagines the mundane and sparks playfulness in everyday life.

Featuring unique, clever, and captivating original art, these deceptively simple but meticulously executed images are full of surprise and delight—and remind us that the world around us is, too.

• Recreates commonplace scenes from everyday life using LEGO® bricks
• Creatively reimagines the everyday objects and scenes
• Presented without text, these clever images speak for themselves, offering joy, surprise, and creativity on each spread

LEGO Still Life is the perfect gift for LEGO lovers and art lovers alike.

LEGO DOTS Mini Frame (30556) Official Image

There is now an official image of the LEGO DOTS Mini Frame (30556) gift with purchase polybag set for a promotion that will be running next month on LEGO Shop@Home. You can get it for free from March 9-22 with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last, so it’ll be fairly easy to get and an easy way for LEGO to promote the new theme. LEGO DOTS will be launching on March 1 with a variety of products that should satisfy your crafting needs.

LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed Available for Download

Yesterday I reported that LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed would be launching this Thursday, February 27 but it looks like Gameloft has pushed the game to the live servers a little early. You can now download the game early but only in certain countries at this time. I expect other countries will get it on the official launch date.

After trying it out, it seems like it is your typical turn-based game where you can level and upgrade your characters but now you can do it in LEGO form. I’ll continue trying it out for the next few days and let you guys know if it is worth your time.

LEGO Eiffel Tower Magnet Build (854011) Review

LEGO Eiffel Tower Magnet Build (854011)

Releasing in a few days is a new LEGO Eiffel Tower Magnet Build (854011) that will be available for $9.99. LEGO has kind enough to send one of these sets over to check out a little early. It has 29 pieces and it features Paris’ most well known landmark. I’m not sure why LEGO chose this particular landmark to make a set out of but hopefully they continue with it.

LEGO Eiffel Tower Magnet Build (854011)

The build is extremely simply but there are some nice pieces included with it mainly the 4x4x1 magnet brick. The cloud piece and green blade gives the Eiffel Tower a nice background scenery. The bonjour plaque on the bottom is a sticker so that’s up to you if you want to put it on or not.

These kind of sets are very miscellaneous and it caters to a very niche market. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get it but if you’ve been to Paris and would like a memento, this Eiffel Tower Magnet Build (854011) would be a decent item. The set will be available starting on March 1.
