The LEGO Creator Mini Cooper (10242) is currently on sale for 19% off the normal retail price over on Amazon. As of a few days ago, the set is priced at $80.99 which is $19 off and it is the lowest it’s been on there. The Mini Cooper is one of the more older sets that is still available so it has to potential to be retired even though LEGO doesn’t label it as such. Either way you get a very good set at a pretty decent price.
Just in time for the holiday shopping season, the LEGO Star Wars Porg (75230) is now on sale over on Amazon. It is currently $55.99 which is 20% off the retail price. The Porg joins a short list of Star Wars characters of smaller stature that have been produced in a larger scale in recent years joining R2-D2 (10225) and BB-8 (75187). I will also note that the same deal is going on over at Walmart as well.
The upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man 2019 sets were revealed last month and it was speculated that they would be released in January but they might be coming out sooner than you think. According to a tweet sent to be by sbull_97, there is a Walmart ad that shows the LEGO Spider-Man sets will be releasing on December 1 in select stores and online. There is now also pricing for the sets but they are a little less than retail price since Walmart usually does that. If the sets are indeed a December release, I assume they’ll be available on Shop@Home on that date as well, just in time for the holidays.

Earlier today, LEGO sent out an email blast notifying LEGO VIPs that there will be an early Black Friday shopping event this weekend at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. From November 17-18, you can earn double VIP points on every purchase. You can also get the exclusive LEGO Seasonal Christmas Gift Box (40292) with purchases of $99 or more. These offers will also be available for everyone during the actual Black Friday event next week.
Update: The promotions should stack with the LEGO Harry Potter Diagon Alley (40289) set.
Disney and Pixar gave us a surprise this morning by dropping the official teaser trailer for Toy Story 4. All of the original characters will be returning and joining them is a new character named Forky who is a spork. The story is still under wraps at this time but in terms of LEGO news, it is rumored that there will be sets for the movie. From what I’m hearing, these sets will be a few LEGO Juniors sets similar to what LEGO did with Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2. Also according to Brickseek, there may also be a LEGO DUPLO set for the movie as well. Toy Story 4 hits theaters on June 21.
The LEGO Holiday 2018 catalog should be in your mailbox by now if you’ve elected to receive things in the mail. There’s nothing too special about our version of the catalog but the UK version gives us a look at some of the sets that will soon be retiring. One of our readers Stephen has shared a couple of the pages from the UK LEGO catalog there are sets that you may be interested in picking up before they go away forever. Keep in mind, sets in other parts of the world will retire before the US so it gives us some extra time to get them but know they will be next on the chopping block. Also note that some of the sets show out of stock online but you may still find them in stores.

LEGO Ideas has a cool new building contest called Magical Builds of the Wizarding World which has some great prizes up for grabs. All you have to do is to build something in one of these categories:

Since there are tons of things to choose from the Wizarding World Universe, there’s almost an unlimited amount of things that you can create.
