December 2018 LEGO Store Calendar

It’s a brand new month and the December 2018 LEGO Store Calendar is now available to show the promotions and events for the month. It’s the final store calendar for the year and like with previous year, there’s not much going on except the two gift-with-purchase promotions.

December 11-24: Free LEGO Seasonal Reindeer Ornament (5005253) with purchases of $50 or more, while supplies last.

LEGO Minecraft 2019 Set Details

LEGO Minecraft

Continuing with the news for some 2019 LEGO sets, there are details of the upcoming LEGO Minecraft theme. Yes the LEGO Minecraft theme is still going strong and Alternate.at has posted product listings for the 2019 sets. The listings are in German so the translations might be a little off.

Bigfig Steve with Parrot (21148) – 159 pieces
Bigfig Alex with Chicken (21149) – 160 pieces
Bigfig Skeleton with Magma Cube (21150) – 142 pieces
The Last Battle (21151) – 222 pieces
The Pirate Ship Adventure (21152) – 386 pieces

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV Series – Batcave (76052) Amazon Lightning Deal

This is my final Amazon deal for today and I’ve saved the best for last for the next hour. They currently has a lightning deal for the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Classic TV Series – Batcave (76052) on sale for $169.97 which is 37% off or $100.02 off the normal price of $269.99. This is definitely worth picking up because of the minifigures as well as some of the builds. There is a percentage claim on this set so hurry if you have been wanting one or want to expand on an existing Batcave.

Update: The lightning deal is over but there’s currently a smaller sale on it for $240.99.

LEGO Architecture 2019 San Francisco (21043) and Paris (21044) Details

LEGO Architecture

We have some new details of the 2019 LEGO Architecture sets that will be coming next year. Alternate.at has listed two sets which are San Francisco (21043) and Paris (21044) and both will be the Skyline style that has been fairly popular among fans.

San Francisco has 565 pieces and will include the Painted Ladies, 555 California Street, the Transamerica Pyramid, the Salesforce Tower, the Coit Tower, Fort Point, the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. The set is priced at € 49,99.

Paris has 694 pieces and its build will include the Arc de Triomphe, the Champs-Elysées, the Tour Montparnasse, the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. It is also priced at € 49,99

LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) Amazon Sale

There’s a decent sale going at Amazon for the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters (75827) that is 11% off the retail price. It is currently at $309.99 which saves you $40 on it. Outside of using VIP points, this is the lowest the set has been at. I’ve heard some rumors that the Ghostbusters Firehouse could be retiring soon but I can’t confirm the validity of it. Considering that the set was released back in January 2016 and direct-to-consumer sets have roughly a two year shelf life, it wouldn’t be out of the possibility that it might be gone after this year.

If you want to earn VIP points on this set, today is the last day of Double Points on Shop@Home and you’ll be able to earn 699 points from it. That means you’ll be getting back $35 from points but that’s still less than the Amazon sale so you’ll have to decide which way to go.

Last Day for LEGO Double VIP Points – October 2018

Today is the last day to make your purchases on LEGO Shop@Home for Double VIP Points for October. This was a surprise promotion that wasn’t listed on the October store calendar so it’s worth making your purchases now. It’s unsure if there are any more general double points promotions for the last two months of the year but it seems likely that Black Friday weekend might have one since they’ve done it in the past. The November store calendar shows double points but on certain sets on VIP.LEGO.com.
