LEGO Seasonal Christmas Gift Box (40292) Revealed

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Gift Box (40292)

The November 2018 LEGO Store Calendar talked about some of the upcoming Black Friday promotions which includes doorbuster deals and exclusive offers but it didn’t mention or show anything for the promotion. It looks like we may have found out what one of the offers could be via the Chinese LEGO Store flyer. At the bottom of the flyer, it shows a limited edition Christmas Gift Box (40292) gift-with-purchase set from November 22-30. Here in the States, our promotions start on November 23 so it’s possible that we could also get this promotion set as well.

If you look closely at the set, you can see that it is able to open up to show a scene inside showing off what appears to be a living room on Christmas day complete with a Christmas tree and toys. It is worth mentioning that the footnote shows that the set is limited to 4,500 copies. I’m not sure if that amount is in that particular region or worldwide.

This set is not the only Christmas set this year has it has already been revealed there is also the Christmas Carousel (40293) as well. There’s no word at this time when that particular promotion will begin. As always, I’ll report any new information that comes out for these two sets.

The LEGO Movie 2 Rex Dangervest First Look

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Rex Dangervest

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part comes out in a few short months and little details of the movie have been slowly releasing. Back in San Diego Comic Con, the Warner Bros. panel talked about a new character for the movie named Rex Dangervest who is also voiced by Chris Pratt. We now have a look at the character which comes from an upcoming book for the movie on Amazon UK.

As you can see from the image above, Rex wears a blue outfit and he has a disheveled look. As stated from the SDCC panel, Rex is a space traveling archeologist, cowboy, and raptor trainer. This is a play on some of the characters that Chris Pratt has played in other movies including Guardians of the Galaxy, The Magnificent Seven, and Jurassic World.

LEGO Harry Potter Bricktober 2018 (5005254) Barnes & Noble Update #2

LEGO Harry Potter Bricktober 2018 (5005254)

It’s been really quiet here in terms of LEGO news simply because there’s nothing to report on but that’ll change soon. In the meantime, there’s another update on the ongoing saga which is for the LEGO Harry Potter Bricktober 2018 (5005254) set. A few days ago, I reported that people have either been finding then in stores or was able to order them in store. Since that time, they are not allowing any orders to be placed on it in stores and any sets they have on hand will not be sold as there is now a strict no-sale policy on it until the end of November. From what I’ve been told on the previous post, they won’t be released until November 17.

If this wasn’t frustrating enough, another person from a different store mentioned that all four Bricktober 2018 sets will be at Barnes & Noble. I can’t vouch for that but I wouldn’t be surprised as this is the first time that we’ve heard that all four sets would be at B&N.

As I mentioned on Twitter, I don’t know what is going on with the Bricktober sets. So far, it’s been short of a disaster as everyone involved has still not said anything helpful so we’re still at the wait and see stage.

LEGO Double VIP Points Promotion – October 2018

If you didn’t see it last night, LEGO Shop@Home has a surprise Double VIP Points event going on until the end of October. That means for every $100 you spend, you can get back $10 worth of LEGO VIP Points to use on future purchases. There’s probably only two or three Double Points events left in the year so now’s a good time to stock up on Christmas/Birthday gifts. This promotion runs alongside the free LEGO Minifigure Collector Frame (5005359) with purchases of $75 or more.
