Earlier today, LEGO designer George Gilliatt took to X/Twitter to talk about some of the features of the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter Talking Sorting Hat (76429), including the new sound brick. You can animate the hat by pressing on top of the hat or from the bottom as well. The sound brick slots in the back of the hat and it has 31 different sounds that it can say randomly.

The Talking Sorting Hat releases on March 1 but you can pre-order today on the LEGO Shop for $99.99.

LEGO Ideas Roman Forum Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Roman Forum by Krackenator4 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The 1,776 piece build features a small part of the iconic building with a large temple that has a removable roof.

LEGO February 2024 Sets Now Available on LEGO Shop

February is now here and there are some new LEGO sets that have dropped on the LEGO Shop. February is usually a quiet month for releases since last month was the big one for the year. The next larger release will be happening in March.

As far as promotions go, the LEGO Love Gift Box (40679) which will run from February 1-14 with purchases of $75. The LEGO Year of the Dragon (40611) should still be running in select countries until February 6 but it has sold out online for the US.

LEGO Carousel Ride (40714) Revealed

In March, LEGO will be releasing a rather random set with the LEGO Carousel Ride (40714) which is a cheaper addition to the fairground type sets. It has 232 pieces and will retail for $24.95. The carousel features carts of a swan, whale, fire truck, and a boat. It also includes minifigures of the the ticket sell, boy, and girl. These type of sets are usually exclusive to the LEGO Shop or LEGO Brand Stores.

Kids aged 8+ can play out fun action with the detailed LEGO® Carousel Ride building set. Decorated in vibrant colors, this amusement park toy features 4 carts, consisting of a swan, a whale, a fire truck and a boat, which can be rotated by turninga pedal gear in its base. There are also 3 minifigures, including a ticket seller, plus a boy with an ice cream and a girl with a camera who can ride in the carts.
