The Holiday 2017 LEGO catalog has started to reach home mailboxes and there are many set that are listed as “Last Chance!” meaning that they will be probably retiring at the end of the year or shortly after. These are in addition to the LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232) which LEGO posted about before on social media a few weeks ago.

In just a few short days on October 10, LEGO will have a new promotion for the exclusive VIP Set (40178). You can get this 205 piece set with a purchase of $125 or more at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home, while supplies last.
This set seems to be one of the more higher quality GWP (gift with purchase) sets in recent years as it faithfully recreates the inside of a LEGO Store and the VIP card which are attached by some Technic pins. The promotion for the VIP Set (40178) will run from Tuesday, October 10-25.

I haven’t done a review in a while for The LEGO Ninjago Movie but the next set that I’ll be doing is the Flying Jelly Sub (70610). It has 341 pieces and retails for a decent $29.99 price point.
Here’s a LEGO reveal out of left field that we didn’t expect today. Over on Shop@Home, a couple of new LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz have been revealed with Finn (41485) and Captain Phasma (41486). These two sets also have the “exclusive” tile that was first seen in The LEGO Ninjago Movie BrickHeadz. Both sets will be available starting on November 1 for $9.99 each.

Some of the characters that where revealed today are in the Character Packs. Hulk 2099 is in one of them while Charlie-27 is in the Classic Guardians of the Galaxy Pack. There’s also an Agents of Atlas Character Pack and one other one.
Given away to attendees at the NYCC 2017 panel are some LEGO posters illustrated by Dan Veesenmeyer which include Incredible Hulk #94 and Tales of Asgard #1. In addition, the poster featuring Thanos, Black Panther, Ant-Man, and the Wasp will also be included in the Deluxe Edition of the game.
The first day of New York Comic Con 2017 has started and over on the Twitch livestream of stage show, Arthur Parsons from TT Games was on hand to talk about LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. The main new thing that was shown off today was the much talked about character customizer. If you’ve played LEGO games before, creating a character isn’t new as you’ve been given limited choices of what your character can look like and do. However in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2, the whole system has been completely overhauled and there is a lot more you can do with it.
As shown off in the livestream, you can pretty much customize every part of the character including the head, torso, arms, legs, armor, and also the abilities the character can use. You’ll have access to more parts as you unlock characters but it looks like players will be thoroughly entertained as they play the game.
Speaking of playing the game in general, there were a few more characters that were revealed (to my knowlegdge) including Dormammu, Daredevil, Gwen Stacy, Kid Colt, Klaw, Korvac, Kraven the Hunter, Stingray, and Thor (Jane Foster). Finally at the beginning of the panel, attendees who play the game at the Marvel booth are able to get a cool poster, similar to the one that I got at SDCC but with a new design. Arthur teased that the characters featured (Thanos, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Wasp) could be included in the Season Pass which is included with the Deluxe … Continue
