Another Take on LEGO Voltron: Defender of the Universe

Voltron

If you know me well enough, then you would know that I’m a big fan of Voltron: Defender of the Universe. I’ve been collecting Voltron action figures since I was a old enough to know about it from the original lions to the Voltron Vehicle Force (DaiRugger XV).

Since returning to the LEGO community, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with some of the LEGO Voltron MOCs such as the one by len_d69 on LEGO Ideas which is still under consideration to become an official set. The same builder has also created a LEGO version of Voltron Vehicle Force as well.

The newest MOC is by Dennis Qiu and it is equally impressive. This version seems to be based on the Voltron Maquette from Sideshow Collectibles which has their sleeker interpretation of Voltron. One of the more notable differences is the slimmer body that it has compared to the bulkier original version.

Now the only thing I’m pretty much waiting for is the official LEGO Ideas Voltron set to be approved and released.

Tatooine Battle Pack (75198) – Includes two Jawas, Tusken Raider, Astro-Mech, and a vehicle.

General Grievous Combat Speeder (75199) – Includes General Grievous, Mace Windu, and dark blue and grey Combat Speeder.

Boba Fett (75533) – Buildable Figure.

Darth Vader (75534) – Buildable Figure. We already have the 75111 set so it’ll be interesting to see what this one is. Maybe this one is based on Rogue One with the redder eye lens?

There’s also mention of Coleman Trebor in another Battle Pack and Ki-Adi Mundi, possibly in the same set.

The LEGO Batman Movie More Rumored 2018 Sets

The LEGO Batman Movie Bat-Spaceshuttle

Sir von Lego over on Eurobricks has been busy giving tidbids of some rumored 2018 LEGO sets and this time, there are details for the third wave of The LEGO Batman Movie. I’ve already talked about two of the sets which are the Bat-Buggy and the Egghead Mech which you can check that out here. The other sets that Sir von Lego talked about are the Justice League Anniversary Party, Harley Quinn’s Attack, and the Bat-Spaceshuttle.

The Justice League Anniversary Party was shown in the movie when Batman and Robin went to the Fortress of Solitude where Superman is partying with the other Justice League members. It was mentioned that it will include Superman, Hawkman, El Dorado, and Wonder Dog. Will we also finally see a set featuring the Fortress of Solitude?

Harley Quinn’s Cannonball Attack is seen in The LEGO Batman Movie: The Making of the Movie and it includes Harley, Batgirl, a driver, and another character.

Finally, we have a Bat-Spaceshuttle. This set was seen when Robin discovers Batman’s lair as seen in the image above. It includes three versions of Batman and two for Robin.
