Amazon has now listed some of the LEGO Dimensions Year 2 Wave 7 expansions packs for pre-order. All of these expansion packs will be available on November 18, 2016. The only pack not listed on Amazon is the Adventure Time Marceline Fun Pack (71285) which is a Toys R Us exclusive.

LEGO Dimensions Year 2 Content Officially Announced

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced their lineup for Year 2 of LEGO Dimensions. Some of the new franchises that will be making their LEGO debut include Sonic The Hedgehog, Adventure Time, The A-Team, Mission Impossible, E.T., The Goonies, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Gremlins, Beetlejuice, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the new Ghostbusters team. You can also check out some of the expansion packs that were revealed yesterday which will be releasing starting September 27.

LEGO Friends Year-long Contest Announced

Over on the LEGO Ambassador Network, LEGO has announced a collaboration between LEGO Rebrick and North American Fan Conventions in 2016 with the Best Friends Contest.

Each convention in North America will have builds featuring the LEGO Friends theme and there, a semi-finalist winner will be chosen along with a winner from Rebrick, whom of which will win a collection of 2016 LEGO Friends sets including 41118 Heartlake Super Market, 41129 Adventure Park Hot Dog Van, 41122 Adventure Camp Tree, 41134 Heartlake Performance School. From the semi-finalists, one grand prize winner will be chosen to win a one-of-a-king life-sized brick-brick LEGO Friends fox.

The last day to sumbit entries on Rebrick is November 21, 2016. I will be at Philly Brick Fest in a few weeks so I look forward to seeing some of the LEGO Friends entries there.

LEGO.com Celebrates 20 Years on the World Wide Web

It may not seem like that long ago but the term “World Wide Web” was coined less than 30 years ago. Today is LEGO.com’s 20th Anniversary on the internet and they have posted a page showing some of the different iterations of the site. The simplicity of the site in 1996 is just pure nostalgia as I remember seeing other websites looking similar when I first got online in school. Ah, who remembers using good ol’ Netscape as your browser back then and that dial-up modem sound. If you want to actually use the older versions of LEGO’s site, head on over to the Internet Archive Wayback Machine and you can still browse around.

At the bottom of the page, there’s a matching game and if you match up five things, you get to download wallpapers from various classic themes like Town, Western, Technic, Trains, Time Cruisers, Pirates, Aquazone, Space, Castle, and a MOC using classic parts. If you know a browser trick, you don’t actually have to play the game and directly download the images but where’s the fun in that?
