Top 10 LEGO 2018 Sets

2018 came and went pretty quickly and it’s that time where I list my top 10 LEGO sets of the year. According to Brickset, there were 784 products that were released this year and only ten of them will be the chosen few to be on this list using various criteria such as price, importance, nostalgia. Again, this is my personal list and will differ from everyone else’s.

10. 60 Years of the LEGO Brick (40290)

Earlier this year, LEGO celebrated the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick and to commemorate the event, they released a promotional set which features four micro versions of classic LEGO sets including the Town Airport Shuttle, Yellow Castle, Pirates Black Seas Barracuda, and the Space Galaxy Explorer.

The other set is the Dragon Dance (80102) and it features a person dress as a pig as 2019 will be the Year of the Pig. There will also be some minifigures to hold the dragon and it appears that the set could be a kinetic one because of the lever on the left side of the set.

BrickLink AFOL Designer Program

BrickLink has announced that they have teamed up with LEGO to launch something new called the AFOL Designer Program. According to the post, BrickLink will be hosting the program for a short time so I assume LEGO will be hosting it themselves in the future. There’s no word on what it is about but stay tuned on September 12 when they announce the details of the program. What do you guy think the AFOL Designer Program is about?
