The latest LEGO Creator Expert set, the Sydney Opera House (10234), is now available at LEGO stores and on Shop@Home. It has been available for LEGO VIP members since the middle of August but it is now available for everyone. The set contains 2989 pieces and retails for $319.99. You can now create Australia’s most iconic architectural structure using many advanced building techniques and elements. It also comes with a new 48×48 blue baseplate. Ewok Village (10236) & Sydney Opera House (10234) Available For LEGO Vips on 8/16/13

If you’re a LEGO VIP member (you should sign up if you’re not), you will be able to get the new LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) as well as the LEGO Creator Expert Sydney Opera House (10234) on Friday, August 16th. They will be available in stores as well as on Shop@Home. You have to be signed in with your LEGO ID to be able to purchase it online.

Unless you really like the LEGO Galaxy Squad Mini Mech (30230), I would suggest waiting a couple more weeks for the official release. That way, you can get the Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (40079) as well as the LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Lieutenant (5001709) polybags for the Ewok Village. For the Sydney Opera House, you’ll only be eligible for the VW Camper Van with your purchase.

LEGO Creator Expert Sydney Opera House (10234) Revealed

At Brickworld Chicago 2013, LEGO has announced the latest LEGO Creator Expert set, the Sydney Opera House (10234). The set will contain 2989 pieces and retails for $319.99. It will be available in September 2013.

The Sydney Opera House in New South Wales, Australia started construction in 1959 and was completed in 1973. The official opening was on October 20, 1973. The Opera House is one of the most well recognized buildings in the world. There have been famous musical performances held there and is one of Australia’s most popular attractions.

The famous Australian landmark is the latest structure to be added to LEGO® Creator Expert range. The set contains nearly 3,000 LEGO bricks, and will launch in September.

The LEGO Group is set to pay homage to one of the greatest buildings of the Twentieth Century when it debuts a striking new official Sydney Opera House model on 1 September 2013.

The construction skills of LEGO fans from around the world will be put to the test as they recreate the unmistakable rooflines and complex angled walls of the Opera House using advanced building techniques and a total of 2,989 LEGO bricks.
