LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown (6866) Review

In the only X-Men set of the 2012 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes so far, we get Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown (6866). This contains 201 pieces and retails for $19.99, which comes out to about $0.10/piece. The set includes three unnumbered bags, one instruction booklet, and the first comic book in the Super Heroes series. Once thing that stands out when looking at the box is the mountain and forest. I’m assuming the setting is in Canada where Wolverine resides.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and Google+ Hangouts

As an AFOL and a Gnomie, I’m always interested in anything that involves LEGO. Chris Pirillo discusses the new features of Google+ and YouTube where viewers can now watch Google+ Live Hangouts on the Google+ profile or page and the YouTube channel simultaneously. He does this while assembling three of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. The sets being built are Captain America’s Avenging Cycle (6865), Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown (6866), and Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape (6867). Chris also discusses other topics with other Gnomies including Marvel comics, Battlestar Galactica, Empire Avenue, and Google products.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Set Now Available

The long wait for the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes set is now over! You can now purchase all five sets from LEGO Shop@Home. You can go ahead and buy them now, but I would suggest waiting until next month if you have patience and self-control. The reason? As stated in a previous post, you can get an exclusive Hulk minifigure with a $50 purchase from May 16-31. If you want to get the sets now, I’ve provided links for each set in the series.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Toys”R”Us Pre-order

Toys”R”Us has released pictures and decriptions for the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. They are available for pre-order today and have the estimated ship date of 4/10/2012. My first impressions of the set are that they look pretty good. I’m not sure about Iron Man’s helmet though. It looks a little too big and disproportional to the body. The other figures look great though.

**Update 3/27/12** Apparently, Toys”R”Us has removed all the pre-order links for all the sets except for Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown. I’m not sure when those links will be live again.

**Update 3/31/12** From what I’m reading, it looks like some of the sets are hitting stores already. Sets should be available beginning April 8. Be on the lookout for early releases.

**Update 4/8/12** Sets can now be purchased in many retail stores including LEGO Shop@Home.

LEGO Superheroes Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown (6866) Preview

The Brick Show has uploaded a video preview of LEGO Superheroes Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown at the 2012 New York Toy Fair. The minifigures included are Wolverine, Magneto, and Deadpool. At the $19.99 MSRP, this set will definitely fly off the shelves in May.
