YourCreatvieFriends has uploaded a picture of the teaser page from the latest LEGO Club Magazine for the return of the LEGO Legends of Chima animated tv show. The Cartoon Network will be having a 90 minute special on Wednesday, March 27th at 7:00/6:00c. The series will most likely continue where it left off back in January during the premiered when Cragger appeared to have stolen Laval’s CHI orb but at the end, Laval rides in with the Legendary Lion and scares off the opposing tribes. Stay tuned on March 27th to see what happens next episode on the Legends of Chima.

Tonight, the new LEGO Legends of Chima TV series premiered on the Cartoon Network. The show is broken up to two 30 minute shows. Here is a recap of the first episode of the series and my initial impressions after. Do not read if you do not want to be spoiled.

The series begins with Eris being captured by the Crocodile, Wolf, and Raven tribes as they’re moving towards the Lion tribe’s city.

The show continues with Laval looking for his harness for his “Age of Becoming” ceremony. He arrives at the Chi pool and sees his father, Lagravis, waiting for him to start the ceremony. Just as Laval gets his Chi orb, the castle suddenly gets attacked and Laval drops the orb. A disguised Cragger rushes in and steals Laval’s Chi as well as a few of the Chi from the pool and speeds off on his Speedorz bike and Laval gives chase. When they get to the jungle, Laval catches up and is about to strike him down but realizes it was Cragger.

A flashback of not long ago shows Laval looking for Cragger while they were playing hide and seek. Their friends from the different tribes show up after: Gorzan from the Gorilla, Eris from the Eagle, Rhogan from the Rhino, Skinnet from the Skunk, and Worriz from the Wolf.

Laval and Cragger practice on their sword skills and finds one of the members from the Bear tribe. After that, Laval and Cragger reveal they were best friends and Cragger wants to try … Continue

The LEGO Legends of Chima is set to premiere tonight on the Cartoon Network at 7:30/6:30c. We finally get to see what the show is like after seeing all the set were reviewed in the initial wave by YourCreativeFriends. Now that we know Chima will not be replacing the Ninjago theme, will it be as successful as it’s predecessor or will it be a flop? Initial impressions from what I’ve seen in LEGO Stores and news from across the web is that it’s doing pretty good but still has work to do to catch up to the level of success that Ninjago was at. Maybe after kids see the show and see how cool it is, they will be inclined to pick up a couple of the sets. Tune in tonight to see the one-hour preview of the Legends of Chima.
