If you’re a LEGO VIP member, you can now purchase the LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) on Shop@Home ahead of the official release date of the set. It contains 1990 pieces and goes for $249.99. This is for those who can’t wait to get the set. If you wait until September, you can get some nice promotions including the Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (40079) and the Clone Trooper Lieutenant (5001709). Ewok Village (10236) & Sydney Opera House (10234) Available For LEGO Vips on 8/16/13

If you’re a LEGO VIP member (you should sign up if you’re not), you will be able to get the new LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) as well as the LEGO Creator Expert Sydney Opera House (10234) on Friday, August 16th. They will be available in stores as well as on Shop@Home. You have to be signed in with your LEGO ID to be able to purchase it online.

Unless you really like the LEGO Galaxy Squad Mini Mech (30230), I would suggest waiting a couple more weeks for the official release. That way, you can get the Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (40079) as well as the LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Lieutenant (5001709) polybags for the Ewok Village. For the Sydney Opera House, you’ll only be eligible for the VW Camper Van with your purchase.

LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) Officially Announced

Today in Lipno Point, Czech Republic, LEGO has finally officially announced the LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236). The set contains 1990 pieces and will retail for $249.99. The set will be available in September 2013.

Now this is what we’re talking about! LEGO has finally stepped up to the challenge of creating a set that embodies what LEGO fans have been waiting for especially for a set that we’ve been waiting patiently for a very long time. The price of the set is worth it considering the amount of pieces you get along with the 16 minifigures. As you can see, the design of the village is well made with a lot of play features. You can now recreate your favorite scenes from Episode VI: Return of the Jedi with many recognizable features of the Ewok Village like the battering ram and C-3PO’s throne. Let the countdown to September begin!

LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) To Be Officially Announced Tomorrow?

Get ready! Word has it over on BrickLink by member akunthita, that the LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) will be officially announced at an exhibition over in Prague, Czech Republic. The official press release along with pictures and designer video will be available at 5AM EST. We’ll definitely be up at that time to report on it as soon as the information becomes available.

LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) Confirmed Set?

Flickr member, mexxbear, has posted an image of what could be the long rumored LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236). Hoth Bricks is reporting that GRogall has seen it and even has a price of € 249.99 for the set. There’s no “official” statement or images yet for the Ewok Village but it won’t be long until that news is uncovered by the LEGO community. From what we can see in the image, there are four Rebel Troopers, C-3P0, three Ewoks, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, and Chewbacca. The set itself is somewhat similar to the Ewok Attack (7956) from a couple of years ago. The set depicts the scene in Episode VI: Return of the Jedi where the heroes are captured by the Ewoks on the forest moon of Endor. If this is the real set that will be released, what do you think of it and will you be picking it up?

In other news, GRogall also announced two other sets to be released this year: LEGO Creator Sydney Opera House (10234) for € 279.99 LEGO Seasonal Winter Village Market (10235) for € 89.99.

Update: mexxbear has confirmed that the image above is indeed a MOC. After seeing the MOC and what the official set could look like, the wait of seeing the real set is even more excruciating since we’ve been waiting so long for a set like this. Hopefully we’ll get to see it soon.
