LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter 2018 (5005249) Promotion Now Live on Shop@Home

The promotion the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5005249) set is now live on Shop@Home. You can get it for free with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last, from March 16-31. This set is the fourth in the series of these type of sets joining the Easter Chicken, Gingerbread Man, and Caveman & Cavewoman. The Iconic Easter set consists of an Easter Bunny Guy along with some accessories and he comes in one of those small cardboard boxes with the cut out door to reveal the minifigure.

In addition to the promotional set, it looks like there’s also a double VIP points promotion going on which runs from now until March 30.

LEGO Iconic Easter (5004468) Target Online Promotion

Target has a new online Spring promotion going on when you purchase LEGO sets with your REDcard. As you see above, you can get the Iconic Easter (5004468) set with a $20 purchase or more on select LEGO sets.

There is a limited quantity and will be added to your cart if you made the requirement and if you’ve linked your REDcard to your account. The promotion excludes Hard to Find items and DUPLO and ends on March 24 at 11:59 pst.

If you don’t care about the promo at all, you can just buy the set outright for $5.99 each.

You can get it for free with purchases of $30 or more and is only available in stores. If you’re lucky, you might be able to purchase it by itself for $5.99 each. To top that deal, TRU is having a buy 1 get 1 40% off all LEGO City, Friends, Ninjago, and DUPLO sets.

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) Giveaway

Today is Easter Sunday and to celebrate, I’m going to do a giveaway for the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468). For those in the US and Canada, you already know that this set is fairly rare as it was only available for a very short time on LEGO Shop@Home and and at Toys R Us. Even at TRU, it was hard to find since most stores didn’t have them on the shelves and were holding them behind the guest services desk or people have been buying them up in bulk since there was no limit.

I did purchase one extra set for this giveaway and the rules are the same as other giveaways, just do the objectives in the widget below. The contest is worldwide and shipping is included. It will run for a week until April 3, 2016 and which I will announce the winner after.

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) Cancelled From Shop@Home Orders

For some reason, the recently released LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) has been rather popular among LEGO fans. If you followed my post this past weekend, Shop@Home North America had an unannounced promotion for the Chicken Suit Guy Minifigure for only a few hours while supplies lasted. Those who placed an order for it during that short period of time would have potentially gotten one as it was a nice incentive to make a purchase. That’s until the last couple of days when people, including me, started getting emails that the Iconic Easter Minifigure has exceeded LEGO’s expectations and were no long available and thus being cancelled from the order.

I have a feeling that this piece of news may upset a lot of people who were affected and were looking forward to getting the set. If you’re still looking for it, your local Toys R Us store might still have them in stock. The last time I checked at my store, they were up at guest services behind the counter but that may vary with your store. The item number is #648866.

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) Minifigure Promotion on Shop@Home This Weekend

If you haven’t been able to find the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) minifigure at Toys R Us, there’s a nice surprise over on Shop@Home. For any purchase you make on Shop@Home, you can get the minifigure for FREE on top of the Double VIP points promotion that’s also going on. The Iconic Easter promo will be only be going on this weekend.

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468) Review

A few days ago, Toys R Us released a “new” LEGO Seasonal set with the Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468), otherwise known as the Chicken Suit Guy. This set retails for $5.99 and is currently available at Toys R Us stores in the US, if you can find them.

Outside of the box is a sleeve that slips off. The box is very simple looking and there’s nothing too special about it. The shape and artwork for the box resembles a small hen house with some Easter egg around it. The door opens up to reveal the Chicken Suit Guy sitting in one of those black container molds that we’ve seen in the Target Minifigure Boxes.

As for the Chicken Suit Guy, he’s pretty much the same minifigure as from the Series 9 Collectible Minifigures (71000). The only notable visual difference from the two is the head on the original one is hollow while the new one is solid. I also noticed the legs on the new one were somewhat more loose than the old one.

Overall, I’m not sure what the purpose of the Iconic Easter (5004468) set is other than being a little Seasonal set that kids can enjoy. As for collectors, this set is a good opportunity to get the Chicken Suit Guy if you missed out on him three years ago. Since the release of this set, the price for the minifigure on the secondary market has dropped dramatically but as with these fairly exclusive sets, some are buying them up in … Continue
