LEGO Creator Modular Brick Bank (10251) Officially Announced

At the BricKorea fan event in South Korea, LEGO has officially announced the next modular to its popular lineup, the LEGO Creator Brick Bank (10251). The set contains 2,380 pieces and retails for $169.99 and will be in January 2016. Modular fans have been waiting for another corner building since 2013 when the Palace Cinema (10232) was released but we’ll be getting one at the beginning of the year. LEGO Creator Winter Toy Shop (10249) Now Available for VIPs

The “new”/updated LEGO Creator Winter Village Winter Toy Shop (10249) is now available for VIPs at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. There has been a sort of a controversy regarding this set as some people are disappointed that it is a re-release while others who missed out of the first one are happy they are able to pick this up. Either way, the Winter Toy Shop is now available for LEGO VIP members and will be available to the general public on October 1st.

LEGO Creator Winter Village Winter Toy Shop (10249) Officially Revealed

LEGO has officially revealed their latest seasonal Direct-to-Consumer set with the LEGO Creator Winter Village Winter Toy Shop (10249). You may be thinking, didn’t LEGO release a Winter Toy Shop before. The short answer is yes with set 10199 back in 2009. However, this version of the set is for fans who either missed out on the first one or are looking for an updated Toy Shop.

The new Winter Toy Shop (10249) will contain 898 pieces and retail for $79.99. Although it looks very similar to the old one, there are some new pieces including some printed sign pieces, minifigure faces, and so on.

The set will be available early for LEGO VIP members on September 16 and to the general public in October. Check out the full press release, images, and designer video below.

LEGO Creator Ferrari F40 (10248) Available Today for VIPs

If you are a LEGO VIP member, you can now purchase the new LEGO Creator Ferrari F40 (10248) on Shop@Home as well as at LEGO Brand Stores. The set has 1,158 pieces and for some reason, the retail price has jumped up to $99.99 instead of $89.99 when it was first announced. LEGO Creator Ferrari F40 (10248) Review

Late last month, LEGO officially revealed the LEGO Creator Ferrari F40 (10248) to fans and there was an overwhelming positive response to it. The set contains 1158 pieces and retails for $89.99. The contents of the box includes 8 bags numbered 1 & 2 and a packaged instructions booklet along with a small sticker sheet.

LEGO Interview with Ferrari F40 (10248) Designer Michael Psiaki and Car Facts

Earlier today, LEGO announced the latest LEGO Creator set with the Ferrari F40 (10248) and along with the assets, LEGO also provided us with an interview they did with the set designer Michael Psiaki. Here he talks a little more in-depth about the details and challenges while creating the Ferrari F40.

Michael Psiaki is the designer of the LEGO Ferrari F40. In this interview he talks about details and challenges while creating this super sports car.

Did the sharp lines of the F40 make it an easy car to recreate with LEGO bricks?

Actually, the more I worked on this model the more I noticed how many subtle curves there are in the car. The car gets slightly wider and taller as you move towards the back. We managed to pull this off with a clever angled section just behind the doors. It also allowed us to get a really small gap in the frame when the doors close.

Where is the spare wheel?

On the real F40 there’s a compartment under the hood that looks like it should fit an extra wheel in it, but it’s actually too small. Instead there is a can of spray that can be used to patch any flat tires. Just like the real car, the compartment on the LEGO model is too small for a wheel, so we also included the can of spray.

What is one of the more interesting parts used in the model that we can’t see in the images?

LEGO has officially announced the latest addition to the LEGO Creator line, the Ferrari F40 (10248). This set has 1,158 pieces and will retail for only $89.99 which is a fantastic price for this licensed supercar. The Ferrari F40 (10248) will no doubt be a great set for car enthusiasts alike. It’ll be around the same size as the LEGO Creator Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (10220) and the LEGO Creator MINI Cooper (10242).
