LEGO Architecture LEGO House (21037)

At the beginning of the month, I reported that there was a new LEGO Architecture set based on the LEGO House (21037) as what it looks like in Billund, Denmark. There are now official images of the set which came from the LEGO Architecture website but was eventually taken down. The building instructions for the set have also been readily available as well.

As far as I know, the new LEGO Architecture LEGO House (21037) will be available in September at the LEGO House shop itself. I don’t believe that it’ll be available worldwide which is a shame as it is a great looking set.

LEGO Architecture LEGO House (21037)

The LEGO House in Billund opens on September 28, 2017 and to commemorate the opening, there will be a LEGO Architecture LEGO House (21037) set coming out for it. One thing I will say about it is that it looks really good and it is color coordinated to show the different zones in the LEGO House. There’s no information on piece count, price point, or if it will be available worldwide as a regular set or not however the building instructions are now available if you want to build your own.

Update: Counting up the parts inventory, there are 774 pieces in this set, not including any extra small parts.

Thanks for Norman on the news. Image via Brickset.

Take a Trip Down Memory Lane in the LEGO Archive Vault

A few weeks ago, Josh Hanlon from Beyond the Brick was able to attend LEGO Fan Media Days and he has given LEGO fans a look at something that most of us probably won’t be able to see in real life, the LEGO Archive Vault, aka Memory Lane. It is located under the LEGO Idea House and it contains almost every single LEGO set that has been produced. Attendees of the LEGO Inside Tour are also able to check it out.

LEGO designers and other employees also go down to the Vault to do research or reminisce about their childhood. Since LEGO adds to the Vault every year, that means that they are running out of room and will soon have to move it to another location. You’ll notice that in the beginning of the film, Josh notes that there are already upcoming sets that haven’t been released yet that are already on the shelves which is blocked off.

If you have half a hour to spare, I highly recommend you taking a look at the video as there are lots of cool stuff that were shown off. Did you see sets that you have/had that were from your childhood?

LEGO has launched their website for the upcoming LEGO House which will be opening to the public in Billund this fall. On the site, there is a ton of new information about what you can expect to see there.

First are the different Experience Zones that you can visit which include the Red Zone, Yellow Zone, Green Zone, and Blue Zone. The Red Zone lets you play with creativity and allows you to use your imagination to create. The Yellow Zone taps into your emotions and you can use those emotions to create animals and flowers.
